Tezos co-founder created a Tezos based Card Card "Emergents"

So just a little backstory first; there is this company called "Coase". It is a blockchain company which is led by Kathleen Breitman. Kathleen is a Tezos co-founder. So the company Coase is about to release a new card game that is based on the Tezos blockchain which is called Emergents.

Think of Emergents as something similar to Hearthstone or Splinter-lands. The cards you get/earn/buy will all be items on the blockchain and the Tezos blockchain at that. Each card will also have a memory of sorts which saves the history of the card. So say for instance you won some tournament with the card that will be written in the blockchain. So one day when the world leader of Emergents sells a card you can physically prove that you have THE card s/he won the 2023 World Championship with. Cool right?!

The Cards:

So they are taking a different approach to how you get the cards. Normally you buy packs of cards that are semi-random and you get left with a bunch of crap cards that are not worth anything. The Way Emergents is going about it is that the card prices are put on a bonding curve. Every card that gets "produced" will have a fixed supply number from the onset. Coase will be the primary and secondary market for buying and selling cards. You can sell your unwanted cards back to Coase. When you sell a specific card back to Coase the price of that card will drop. When people buy a specific card from Coase that price of the card will increase.

When the game launches, new players will be given a base set of free cards. Each week new cards will come out so it will always keep the game fresh and evolving. Obviously you can buy cards with Tezos but it was also stated that they are going to enable fiat currency to purchase cards with so if you want nothing to do with crypto and play the game you still can.

The Gameplay:

I am going to quote the interview by Coindesk for the best explanation: "Players act as the team leader of a gang of super-beings who are slowly coming out and attempting to attack the other player. To attack they first have to get past their opponent’s own team of super-beings. The games are divided into different factions, powered by different sorts of resources."

The Team:

I already told you about Kathleen Breitman who is the Tezos co-founder.

There is also Zvi Mowshowitz, who is a former Magic the Gathering player and was inducted into the Magic Hall of Fame in 2007.

Brian David-Marshall who is a Coase co-founder
