Here is what my game looks like after a couple days of playing.

So I am in love with this game. I wrote a into to playing the game here and a followup here. Check that out if you want to understand the fundamentals of the game and how to start.

Here I wanted to give my update on how I am playing and what I am doing to gain that sweet GOLD.

Quick recap: There are numerous resources in the game. Gold is the currency in game. Also in the game you can Convert 1,000 gold into a token called PGL. Then on their exchange you can trade/exchange the PGL tokens for WAX tokens. Those WAX tokens are then sold for cash money or other currencies.

So far I have bought an Axe, a Saw, another Axe and a Pickaxe. They were a huge upfront cost but well worth it.  I started just cutting down forests and selling that wood at the market. It made me pennies but it passed the time and I started to get some gold accumulated. Now I the only time I cut wood is when someone has rented a plot of land and set up a job to cut down the forest. I make about 400 gold every hour or so doing that job. You need an Axe and a Saw to make that amount.

Now my worker that has a pickaxe and a axe I am having them perform jobs that just require a pickaxe, like building a Stone Workshop for a user. In the meantime I am getting my 2nd worker who has no tools over to by my worker with an axe and pickaxe. Once they are on the same plot of land I will give the axe to worker 2 and set him off on performing jobs that require an axe, like milling wood into wood beams (roughly 4g/minute). That way all 3 workers will have at least 1 tool and can perform better jobs. Once I have enough I will buy a gold pan for Worker 1 so that they will have a pickaxe and a gold pan and can mine gold for people which pays very well.

Here is where Worker 3 is working now. He is helping build a Gold Mine at 1 hour intervals. He makes 7gold per minute so 400 gold an hour after taxes. Lets say I only play this game for 8 hours while I work that is 3,200 gold a day from 1 worker. But I play longer than that (I work at my desk all day and can login from my phone when I am away from my desk).

There are 2 things I was saving for. I wasn't sure until today which I wanted. But once you start making some money with tools I would recommend getting these two items first. I am choosing to go for the Certificate first and it will let me work for 5 hours at a time and not 1 hour at a time. Then after I purchase the one time certificate I will buy a wagon for each worker so they can carry a lot more at any given time. And thus make more on transporting type jobs or just gathering jobs.

There is also staking PGL as an option to earn more gold. So once you get 1,000 gold you can turn it into PGL and stake it. Staking it means you can use it or move it (unstaking takes 72 hours). But every day everyone who has staked PGL get a portion (equal to the amount they staked) as a reward. The expected payout for 10k PGL is 5.0213 PGL. So that is 10 million gold would net you 5,000 gold a day.

Even if I never cash out and make Crypto from this game it is still fun to play!
