Quick Backstory. Emrit is a company that basically bought a crap ton of Helium hotspots back in the day. They then will ship you one of their hotspots to setup in your house and they will pay you 20% of the Helium it earns. It's a free 20% people so not a bad deal if it's the only way you can get your hands on Helium.
In December of 2020 I contacted them and got a hotspot in super late December. I setup it up immediately and starting waiting. 1 month went by and nothing. 2nd month went by and nothing. Then I just kind of forgot about it. It wasn't until a month or so ago that I remembered I had this thing plugged in and earning rewards. I checked on it and oddly enough I didn't earn anything yet.
I could see that the hotspot itself was earning rewards but I just wasn't getting paid my 20% from Emrit. Here is my article from May 2020 about my progress so far. Well, fast forward to today and I have yet another update for you all in my saga with Emrit and Helium.
I submitted a ticket with Emrit and never head back. Someone suggested their Discord server so I contacted them there and got in touch with Brice.Emrit. Instead of paraphrasing my conversation I am just going to copy and paste it for you all to see for yourselves.
Then just radio silence. Emrit is not this massive company with millions of employee's so I understand their Service Desk is slower than normal. However I understand also that with smaller companies your customers are your lifeline. I wanted to give Emrit the benefit of the doubt but I just can't anymore. I am sure there are some of you out there that have used Emrit and have gotten your 20%. But for me to waste my electricity with no returns is not worth it.
That all being said I am closing this chapter in my Crypto Book. Me and Emrit are breaking up because they ghosted me. And I am okay with that. I can find my crypto elsewhere. Maybe one day I can actually buy one of my own hotspot/miners for Helium as I believe in the project.
