Dungeon Master - Clan Update

I wasn't sure if I was going to write this article but after getting an invite into a clan I couldn't help myself. Clans in Dungeon Master are a new feature that was just added into the game. I have had a few people ask me what the point of a clan is and the answer is not straight forward yet. What can you do in a clan today? Well, nothing really. What can you do in a clan in the future? Well that is where it gets cool.

Let's dive into Clans where they stand right now first.

The first thing you need to do if you want to make your own clan is buy a Clan pack. They are not cheap.

Then you need to unpack your pack and you will get a clan box.

On your clan box it will show you your Clan number and also the clan Logo. It is here that you will have 5 NFT's for Clan Membership that you can give out to your friends or even just sell them to people. This is the scary part as once they leave your wallet you can't get them back unless the person sends it back to you. So pick your clan members carefully.

Once you send one of the NFT's to a clan member they need to go into Dungeon Master and click on clans and join a clan. It is there you will see the Clan you have a NFT for and you can join the clan.

Now you are part of a clan. Within the clan screen you will see all your clan members. You can click on each person to see what items they have equipped. You can also see each clan members level and how much of the 3 resources they have.

As you can see I have some catching up to do!

That was current state of the clans in Dungeon Master. Now let's talk about future state.  First let's look at the official guide from the Wombat team as to what clans are.

From this we can learn that a clan member can "help" a fellow clan member on their mission  by reducing the mission time by 1%. Assuming there are 6 clan members in your clan. So you have 5 friends that can each help you. That is 5% of your mission time that can be reduced. I reached out to the Wombat team for clarification but before I get into the details I wanted to show you the most time you could save for being in a clan.

Or if you happen to have 10 members in your clan helping you then this is the best you could do.

Now that you see what time you could save for being in a clan. Let's talk about a few things.

1) Why is getting reduced time so important?

That is because the more time that is reduced means you can run that many more runs in the dungeon. It has been stated that the more you interact with the site and perform runs the higher chance you have at getting a pack or NFT drop. Which is what a lot of people want out of this game.

2) Time reduction is based on the remaining time left in your mission not the overall mission time

This is very important and why I reached out to Sascha for clarification. If you start a 1 hour mission and when you have 5 minutes left in that mission a clan member 'helps' you that 1% is based on that 5 minutes left and not the 1 hour time. This is so key because it dramatically changes how your clan members should help you. For example if I see a clan member who runs only 1 hour missions and it has like 2 minutes remaining in it. It may be more time effective to wait to help them until they start a new 1 hour mission instead of 'wasting' it on the 2 minutes left in their current run.

3) You earn Clan Karma for helping out your clan members

When you help a clan member you earn 25 clan karma. That can stake 40 times in a day. So you can help out clan members 40 times and earn 40x25= 1,000 clan karma each day. I would assume that after you help 40 times you can't help anymore but maybe you just stop earning clan karma after the 40th help but can keep helping with no reward for them.

What is clan karma for? Later down the line you will be able to add more members into your clan. In order to do this you will need a certain amount of clan karma and WAX and then you can purchase a 7th slot for your clan and then a 8th and so on. I am not sure what the max size of a clan is but as you can see above in my table have 10 members each help you 1% is way better then just having 1 person help you with your mission. So having a clan the size of 101 members could mean that you could perform a 24 hour mission is zero seconds if they all help you at the same time. I highly doubt Wombat team will allow clans that big for that reason but who knows.

I am sure the Wombat team has way more planned for the Clans but that is what I know about them now. However in that same light I want to point our their roadmap as you can learn A LOT about what is to come for the game ahead.

Sidekicks..... Vehicles... Multiple Dungeons... Skill Tree... this is going to be an awesome ride. And to everyone who is playing right now then you are truly in the game at the beginning so keep going.

And I can't not post about sweet NFT's that you can stake in Dungeon Master and also are just cool. Byron has the myzicklearmy collection and the Veronikhrub shards are stackable for 30 MP each and mine for uranium. You can thank me later and buy them here.

To end the article I just want to wet your appetite that I am working on something for you all that I hope pans out into something really cool and really beneficial to everyone!
