A fantastic place if you go in Aosta Valley is definitely the Roman theater in Aosta (Augusta Praetoria).

Until a few years ago you could visit it for free, now you have to pay a fee, which starts from € 7 for adults up to € 2 for children.

Several live concerts of different musical genres are organized, during Christmas period it is possible to visit it for free because is organized a atreet market dedicated to the festivities where it is possible to find typical food & handicraft products of the region and much more.

The photos you see were taken by me during Christmas 2018.

If you love history you will appreciate what has remained of its 2,000 years, dating back to the time of the emperor Claudius. Scholars have calculated that it could contain around 4,000 spectators and should have had a covering.
