With Halloween fast approaching, people are already decorating their homes and preparing for the night of candy. Games, especially web3 games, are no exception. As a major update to share with the Splinterlands community—an NFT trading card game—we have the arrival of a Halloween-themed update to get players in the "horror" mood. Among the new features are the arrival of 13 new skins from different collections in the Glint Store, a new modifier called Blood Moon, and finally, a new background design for the game. Come find out in more detail everything about what's new in Splinterlands Hallow's Fall!

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

Hallow's Fall Event

Normally, Splinterlands releases skins and changes the design, but this time the team has outdone themselves by adding skins to the rewards shop and a wide variety of collections. This ultimately brings players closer to the game, from a fun and play perspective, not just for the money. This is important because the game needs to be fun and have new features to keep the community engaged. Comments on posts and publications have been very positive, with the community supporting the new features, which is exactly what we expect.

Thinking about the idea of bringing something different, this time they've added a new modifier to battles that will make everything more chaotic and fun, exactly what you'd expect from a Halloween event! In addition to the skins and modifier, which we'll cover in more detail below, we've also implemented a new design for the ranked match pages in Frontier, Modern, Wild, and Survival. This new design features a graveyard-like background with a tower in the middle and a full moon in the background, which will be closely related to the new modifier.

Still on the subject of design, I believe the style changes went beyond what was expected for the Halloween event, with guild chat appearing on the battles page, along with Season details, Rewards, history, and updates. So many changes, they deserve a separate post, but the fact remains that more than just the background has been changed; the entire structure of what appears on the "Play" page has also changed.

Hallow's Fall “Spooky” Skins

Halloween is also arriving at the Glint Shop with the arrival of the Hallow's Fall Spooky Skins, which will be available for purchase until early November. For those interested in customizing their units, there are 13 Spooky versions of Rebellion, Conclave, and I think Foundation units as well. Each rarity will have different prices in Glint tokens: Common will cost 500 glint, rare will cost 2500 glint, Epic will cost 8,000 glint, and Legendary will cost 20,000 glint. Unlike other skin sales, this one has no limits, meaning anyone who wants a spooky skin can get one in the store.

I believe that in the future, skins could be NFTs with some utility and have a high cap, even if it's high, to give them a sense of exclusivity. But until that happens, let's have fun choosing the skins for the characters we like the most. In my case, I really liked the Meriput Magician as a Reaper and also the Halfling Refugee as a skeleton. I think these are two skins I'll aim for. In the case of Meriput, I've already gotten it because the glint cost is low, but I'll leave the Halfling to get with the seasonal reward.

New Modifier - Blood Moon

From October 14th until the end of the event, a new battle modifier called Blood Moon was added to Ranked, Frontier, and Survival matches. It represents the werewolf that transforms into the full moon (which is the background of the ranked matches). It is called Blood Moon because of its effect of granting Bloodlust to all units at the start of the match. This will make every match completely different from what people are used to, featuring new strategies, with completely different combos that will seek to maximize the bloodlust of units.

A very interesting detail that demonstrates the devs' dedication to the game is the modifier being related to the full moon in the ranked background design. This shows us that the team is well managed and coordinated, as the design and change implementation teams must have intentionally included this as an Easter egg.
