In Splinterlands, you have several game modes to pass the time and use your cards. Among them, we have Modern mode, where you use cards from the most recent collections; Wild mode, where all collections can be used and it's a real mystery how the match will go since anything goes; and Survival mode, where defeated cards go on cooldown and cannot be used again in this mode until they are available again.
One detail of Survival Mode is that by finishing among the top positions – I think top 20 if I'm not mistaken – you will receive an Ascension Token at the end of the Season. With this token, you can participate in a tournament that takes place during the next season called the Ascension Tournament, whose main reward is a good amount of Glint tokens!

Splinterlands Ascension Tournament & Glint Purchases!
Just like in my past participations in the Ascension Tournament, I ended up around 60-80th place and won approximately 30k Glint. I'm not used to using these cards that become available in this event most of the time, since I usually use cards from the Chaos Legion collection as the basis for my deck and, in survival mode, cards from the Conclave Arcana rewards collection.
Knowing how to use the cards and understanding the combos greatly impacts the result, because an acquaintance of mine frequently gets around 44k Glint in this tournament, and that's about 50% more than I can get with my current skills.
The interesting thing is that by aiming for the top 20 in Survival Mode, you end up participating in several other rewards along the way. The first is that you enter the Leaderboard, since you will complete more than 100 matches, allowing you to win an exclusive Survival card and the Glint from your bracket's Pool.
Furthermore, until now, anyone who completed 250 matches with a 50%+ win rate and left feedback earned 250k Glint. Perhaps this is the last season with this reward, since Brackets are coming to Modern Mode and this event was precisely to test and gather feedback on the brackets. As I mentioned, take advantage while this event lasts, because this amount of Glint is not easy to obtain.
With the 30k prize from the Survival Ascension Tournament plus the glint I collected this season, I managed to get 5 Epic Draws from the Glint Store and advance a bit more in the number of epic cards from the Conclave Arcana Rewards collection, so they can level up.
The cards I got were 2x Voss; 2x Kazira and 1x Joraki. Did I manage to upgrade any epic cards in this process? The answer is NO! However, analyzing the number of cards for each of the epics, I noticed that we're very close to getting level 3 upgrades.
To give more details, the Kazira Vaelstrik and Tandi Janda cards are only 1 BCX away from reaching the 10 needed for level 3. Rila Fen and Saltwraith Pirate are almost leveling up, needing only 2 more copies. Finally, Voss and Joraki Venshiro are only 3 cards away. This means that with the rewards from Survival and EOS this season, we'll probably see several cards reaching level 3 and gaining an extra ability.
