Publish0xTutorials: How to increase your income

If you've just started here or you're not getting the popularity you would like here are some (non-financial) tips on improving your popularity - so you will get your articles read and earn tips.

  • Start by following authors that write on the topics you are interested in and will be writing on.
  • Write GOOD articles on topics of interest to the community you are targeting.  Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct and explain any acronyms or jargon you use the first time you use them in each article.
  • Reference external articles you have used as a resource, after all, how does anyone know that you are knowledgeable on the topic?
  • Comment on other writer's articles and give them tips.  Make sure the comments are interesting and demonstrate you have read the article, not just "Good read".
  • Share links on Social Media using your ambassador code.  Don't just share your own articles, but share others work as well, providing it is good quality and interesting.  You can append your Ambassador code to the end of any link back to Publish0X so that you get the referrer code attached to your account.
  • If you have a website, make sure you append your Ambassador Code to the link so you can track where your readers are coming from.
  • Publish regularly, but not too much.  Your followers can only tip you once every 24 hours, so publishing more than once a day may reduce the number of tips you may receive.
  • Attach your Ambassador Link to the end of any articles you may write elsewhere - guest blogging etc.
  • Use graphics, videos and images to make your articles pleasing to look at.  Make sure you attribute the source.  You can use sites like Pixabay which is integrated with Publish0X for free graphics which are licensed for commercial use without attribution.  Another site I use is Unsplash which also licences you to use their images.  You can of course create your own, ask the owner for permission to use their graphic or video (a good way to grow your readership) or purchase images from sites like Shutterstock to use in your articles.
  • Ask family, friends and your social media followers/friends to follow your link and register with Publish0X.  You will receive a small percentage of any revenue they receive through the Ambassador Program.

Ambassador Link

Everyone has a unique Ambassador Link.  You can optionally add a tag to differentiate where your external followers and readers are coming from.  This helps you to determine where you am getting the best results from.

To share one of your stories, simply copy the browser link.  I use Brave Browser so it offers me a sharing option when I copy the link.

But, before you submit your article to Facebook or Twitter etc, you have to go back to the tracking ID (If you want to track which media are working best for you), enter the name of the site you are posting to (e.g., Facebook) then click on "Generate".  You then need to append the tracking ID to the end of the article link you are about to share.  You don't need to add a "/", simply paste the Tracking ID to the end of the link so it looks like this:

Tip: develop a consistent standard for yourself eg, always capitalise the name of the referrer, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, or always enter them all in lowercase, whatever works for you.  If youre a little OCD like myself, it annoys me that some of my links start with capitals but others don't.  What I do now is I have a draft article where I have stored all of my regular links and I can copy and paste.  This ensures I don't mis-spell something and end up with duplicate referrers.

But most of all, write for the enjoyment.  If you enjoy what you are doing and are passionate about your subject, it will show through in your writing.  And write a lot - remember, practise makes perfect!

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.
