Firstly it was an enjoyable experience conducting this Experiment. I learnt a few new things about the platform and in thinking about content for the posts I also gained some knowledge by the research.
As for income - well, easier said than done, as I wrote before, I'm really not sure how some authors here get into the 'big' payouts - I mean like more than one dollar!
Some conclusions
- the time of day you post seems important, I seem to have got the best responses about 20:00 GMT (which for me is early morning; I'm in Tokyo).
- the topic also is very important (guess this is common sense)
the Posts
I started with a post outlining my intentions An experiment - which as of now has 100 views and $0.04 earned.
Next up was Real traders - Listen and learn - some useful stock and cryptocurrency YouTube follows that I regularly watch. The views reached 160 but only $0.02 earned. I really thought it'd be more popular.
The third post was more popular, Way back then - mining in the early days of Bitcoin, garnering 250 views and $0.27 income. Interestingly since the halfway mark some views were added but they didn't bring any income.
Post four was Two below the radar, "deep tech" projects - some profitable information I think, 532 views, $0.27 earned. A Redditor posted a link in the Loki/Oxen and Switcheo reddit channels.
On to the next day I uploaded Millennials and money - again more YouTube links, 105 views, $0.08 earned (also it got a dislike, not sure why), and Why HODL? Why not cash out? which has been by far my most popular post with 564 views and $0.50 in tips (and 3 dislikes for some reason).
The midway point was All the Japanese influences in crypto - early days with 171 views and $0.16 earned. [I live in Japan so this topic is interesting to me]
And the eighth post was the progress update, Half way through posting twice a day for one week - HOW DID I DO? which got 222 views and $0.29 in income.
Post nine and ten were Five totally free awesome Apple apps and Love tech? Watch these! with 138 views, $0.05 and 185 views and $0.15 tips respectively.
Eleven and twelve Environmentally friendly "mining" using just your computer and disk drives 138 views and $0.13; 251 views and $0.37, and Escape working from home 251 views and $0.37.
The final two in the series, Proof of space & time; Chia Network and Chia price reveal each got 111 views and $0.13 and 138 views and $0.13.
