Stability in Uncertain Times

The new year hasn’t brought us much joy on the crypto side: the entire market is struggling, with HIVE suffering before and continuing to suffer even more now.

In this delicate moment, when the value of everything I own in crypto keeps going down, Splinterlands is a pleasant bright spot.

After several years in which I could never find a point of balance and stability in this game, with my plans constantly needing to change to adapt to ongoing updates and new features, I am finally experiencing a period of great calm, which began about a year and a half ago.

Focusing on renting out my cards and buying/selling cards to keep my collection as optimized as possible has proven to be the right choice.

Very little time wasted, stable earnings, and the value of my collection has remained steady for several months — which is a big win, considering how everything else is going!

So let’s see what happened over the past month.

Cards

Using Peakmonsters, the value of my cards is currently around $106.

Last month, the value of my collection was around $110.

A negative difference of just $4, probably due to simple market fluctuations that cause small daily variations in card prices.

Tokens

On the tokens side, the situation remains stable again.

Currently, the value of my tokens is $87.24.

Last month, their value was $70.85.

Here we even see a nice increase, likely due to the upcoming release of the Escalation mini-set: the increase in SPS value is probably only temporary, but again, at a time when everything else is falling, seeing the value of my tokens (SPS and DEC) go up… well, it’s nice!

Then there’s my HIVE reserve, which amounts to 134, obtained by converting 30,000 DEC:

Here, my strategy has so far proven completely wrong: unfortunately, it would have been better to do anything else… but that’s how it went, and all I can do now is hope that, sooner or later, HIVE will rise in value again, allowing me to buy plenty of DEC to reinvest in Splinterlands.

And then there’s my participation in the DEC-GRAIN pool:

The value of GRAIN has dropped a bit — what a surprise! — so if I withdrew now, I would get less DEC than I put into the pool… but fortunately I don’t need to withdraw now, so I can be patient and see what happens in the future.

Peace of mind

Stability and peace of mind are two terms that perfectly describe the state of my Splinterlands investment: everything is going well, my strategy works, I know what I need to continue doing — buying Conclave Arcana cards and selling Rebellion cards — and I have no reason to make any changes.

I can continue to consider Splinterlands a cornerstone of my strategy, which for now is holding up far better than many other things on which I had even higher hopes.

Stabilità in Tempi Incerti

Il nuovo non ci sta portando molte gioie lato crypto: tutto il mercato sta soffrendo, con HIVE che soffriva prima e continua a soffrire sempre di più adesso.

In questo momento così delicato, in cui il valore di tutto ciò che possiedo lato crypto continua ad andare sempre più giù, Splinterlands è una piacevole nota positiva.

Dopo diversi anni in cui non ero mai riuscito a trovare un punto di equilibrio e stabilità su questo gioco, con i miei piani che dovevano cambiare in continuazione per adattarsi alle costante modifiche e novità, finalmente sto vivendo un periodo di grande tranquillità, iniziato da ormai circa un anno e mezzo.

Dedicarsi al noleggio delle mie carte ed alla vendita/acquisto di carte per mantenere la mia collezione il più ottimizzata possibile si è rivelata la scelta giusta.

Pochissimo tempo perso, guadagni stabili, valore della mia collezione che da diversi mesi si attesta sempre sui soliti valori - che è una grande vittoria, visto come sta andando tutto il resto!

Andiamo quindi a vedere cosa è successo in quest'ultimo mese.

Carte

Utilizzando Peakmonsters il valore delle mie carte risulta attualmente pari a circa 106 dollari.

Il mese scorso il valore della mia collezione era invece pari a circa 110 dollari.

Una differenza in negativo di appena 4 dollari, magari dovuti alle semplici fluttuazioni di mercato che di giorno in giorno comportano piccole oscillazioni nel prezzo delle carte.

Tokens

Lato tokens la situazione rimane nuovamente stabile.

Attualmente il valore dei miei tokens ammonta infatti a 87.24 dollari.

Il mese scorso il loro valore era invece pari a 70.85 dollari.

Qui addirittura c'è un bell'aumento, sicuramente dovuta all'imminente uscita del mini-set Escalation: l'aumento di valore di SPS è probabilmente solo temporaneo ma, di nuovo, in un momento in cui tutto scende, vedere il valore dei miei token (SPS e DEC) aumentare... be', è piacevole!

C'è poi sempre la mia riserva di HIVE, che ammonta a 134 ottenuti convertendo 30.000 DEC:

Qui la mia strategia si è rivelata per ora completamente errata: purtroppo sarebbe stato meglio fare qualsiasi altra cosa... ma ormai è andata così e non mi resta che sperare che, prima o poi, HIVE torni a salire di valore, così da consentirmi di acquistare tanto DEC da reinvestire in Splinterlands.

E poi c'è la mia partecipazione nella pool DEC-GRAIN:

Il valore di GRAIN è un po' calato - che sorpresa! - e quindi se uscissi ora otterrei meno DEC di quello che ho immesso nella pool... ma per fortuna non devo uscire ora, per cui posso pazientare e vedere cosa accadrà in futuro.

Tranquillità

Stabilità e tranquillità sono due termini che ben descrivono lo stato del mio investimento su Splinterlands: tutto procede per il meglio, la mia strategia funziona, so cosa devo continuare a fare - acquistare carte del set Conclave Arcana e vendere carte del set Rebellion - e non ho motivo di fare nessuna modifica.

Posso continuare a considerare Splinterlands un caposaldo della mia strategia, che per ora sta reggendo il colpo molto meglio di tante altre cose su cui, invece, avevo riposto speranze anche maggiori.
