Are Values Going Up? Yes, They Are!
Everything is going down: BTC, ETH, HIVE — nothing seems to want to give me any satisfaction...
... except Splinterlands!
Yes, because after months of watching my assets lose value, the trend finally seems to have reversed — at least for now.
Last month things had already slightly improved, since at the very least the value of my assets had stayed stable compared to September, but this month things went GREAT!
For some reason the value of my cards has increased — and not by a little — while my rental income continues to deliver excellent results.
On this front, I also started using SplinterROI again, identifying a few cards whose prices needed updating: this even made me want to get back to working on this little tool, because I have one or two changes in mind that I’d like to implement - although it remains to be seen whether I will find the time to do so... perhaps during the Christmas holidays?
But for now, let’s take a look at how the value of my assets has changed.
Cards
Using Peakmonsters, the value of my cards currently comes out to about 127 dollars.
Last month the value of my collection was about 91 dollars.
About 36 dollars more — an increase of over one third compared to the value of my collection last month.
The cause of this price increase? No idea, but I’ll take it 🤣
Tokens
On the token side, things remain stable, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Currently, the value of my tokens amounts to 68.14 dollars.
Last month, their value was 71.36 dollars.
A decrease of 3 dollars — nothing noteworthy.
There’s also my stash of HIVE, which amounts to 134 obtained by converting 30,000 DEC:
And there’s also my position in the DEC–GRAIN pool which is, now, more substantial:
In total I’ve invested about 6,000 DEC here, with a position worth a little over 4 dollars.
Slowly but surely I’m making progress, and I already have another 2,000 DEC ready to be converted — partially — into GRAIN and added to the pool.
A small satisfaction every now and then
If the market continues in the direction it has taken in recent weeks, the progress seen today will probably vanish in an instant...
... but for now, they’re here, and I can’t help but be happy!
Splinterlands is one of my main investments — smaller than some (HIVE and ETH, for example) but larger than many others: on Hive, only LEO surpasses in value what I hold in Splinterlands.
That’s why a month like this gives me a bit of breathing room and makes me feel a little less sad about the general market situation which, just when I thought I would finally see the altseason explode, instead went in the opposite direction, dragging the value of my investments down...
... but not Splinterlands — at least not this month!

Tutto sta andando giù: BTC, ETH, HIVE, niente sembra volermi dare soddisfazione...
... eccetto Splinterlands!
Sì, perchè dopo mesi in cui ho dovuto assistere al deprezzarsi dei miei assets, finalmente la tendenza sembra essersi invertita - almeno per ora.
Il mese scorso le cose erano già leggermente migliorate, dato che quantomeno il valore dei miei assets era rimasto stabile rispetto a Settembre, ma questo mese sono invece andate alla GRANDE!
Per qualche motivo il valore delle mie carte è infatti aumentato, e neanche di poco, mentre la mia rendita da noleggio continua a produrre ottimi risultati.
Da questo punto di vista sono anche tornato ad utilizzare SplinterROI, identificando così alcune carte il cui prezzo andava aggiornato: questo mi ha fatto anche venire voglia di tornare a lavorare su questo piccolo strumento, perchè avrei in mente uno/due modifiche che mi piacerebbe implementare - anche se ci sarà da vedere se troverò il tempo di farlo... magari durante le vacanze natalizie?
Andiamo però intanto a vedere come è cambiato il valore dei miei assets.
Carte
Utilizzando Peakmonsters il valore delle mie carte risulta attualmente pari a circa 127 dollari.
Il mese scorso il valore della mia collezione era invece pari a circa 91 dollari.
Circa 36 dollari in più, per un aumento di oltre un terzo rispetto al valore che aveva la mia collezione il mese scorso.
La causa di questo aumento dei prezzi? La ignoro, ma va bene così 🤣
Tokens
Lato tokens la situazione rimane invece stabile, il che non è necessariamente un male.
Attualmente il valore dei miei tokens ammonta infatti a 68.14 dollari.
Il mese scorso il loro valore era invece pari a 71.36 dollari.
Una diminuzione di 3 dollari, quindi niente di che.
C'è poi sempre la mia riserva di HIVE, che ammonta a 134 ottenuti convertendo 30.000 DEC:
E c'è anche la mia partecipazione nella pool DEC-GRAIN che, adesso, è più consistente:
Nel complesso qui ho investito circa 6.000 DEC, con una posizione che vale un po' di 4 dollari.
Piano piano faccio progressi ed ho già altri 2.000 DEC pronti per essere convertiti, in parte, in GRAIN ed inseriti nella pool.
Una piccola soddisfazione ogni tanto
Se il mercato continuerà ad andare nella direzione di quest'ultimo periodo, probabilmente i progressi visti oggi andranno persi in un attimo...
... ma intanto ci sono e non possono che farmi piacere!
Splinterlands è infatti uno dei miei principali investimenti, più piccolo di alcuni (HIVE ed ETH ad esempio), ma più grande di tanti altri: su Hive, solo LEO sorpassa in valore ciò che possiedo su Splinterlands.
Per questo un mese come questo mi dà un po' di respiro e mi fa sentire un po' meno triste per la situazione generale del mercato che, proprio quando pensavo che finalmente avrei visto esplodere l'altseason, è invece andato nella direzione opposta, trascinando giù il valore dei miei investimenti...
... ma non di Splinterlands, almeno per questo mese!
