  • Genre: Dungeon, MMORPG

  • Blockchain: Solana, Ethereum

  • Status: Live

  • Our ranking: #248

VeilBound has its own page in our games catalog, and you can compare it with every other title in our ranked list of crypto games.

What you earn and how: VeilBound is free-to-play. veilbound.gg describes it as a free 3D MMORPG that runs in the browser with no download. The game’s pages describe one way to earn: a player who joins on a friend’s invitation earns $VEIL, and so does the friend who sent it. VEIL is the game’s token on Solana. As of 2026-11-08, CoinGecko lists VEIL at $0.0004322, against an all-time high of $0.001403. On the same date it shows a market capitalisation of $430,118 and 24-hour trading volume of $5,188.27. The token’s price can move in either direction, so any VEIL reward can be worth more or less in dollars.

How we researched this review

This is a research-based review, not a play log: nobody on our team claims hours in VeilBound here. We read our catalog entry, 1 official page, the official gameplay guides and store listings, 1 forum or blog page, the public Discord and X channels, the official marketplace and getting-started guide, token market data, team, funding and audit records (read on 2026-11-08). Every price, count and size in this review carries the date of its own reading where the source gives one. Forum posts, community chats and docs pages often carry no date: those sources are undated, and each one is linked where we use it so you can check it yourself.

VeilBound game facts: genre, blockchain, status, our ranking, as of 2026-11-08

VeilBound at a glance, as of 8 Nov 2026.

What is VeilBound?

Veilbound is a free-to-play 3D browser video game whose design borrows from classic World of Warcraft and RuneScape, with dungeons at the centre. VeilBound is an MMORPG you play in a web browser, with nothing to download or install, and the game is live as of November 2026.

VeilBound’s home chain is Solana, where the game’s token, VEIL, runs. The game is also listed on Ethereum. The VEIL economy includes player trading and an account exchange.

In VeilBound, you pick one of 11 classes, then quest through 20 zones, more than 600 quests and a roster of hand-crafted dungeons, solo or with parties and guilds. Combat is tab-target with a dodge roll that gives half a second of invulnerability, and PvP runs through duels, a ranked arena and territory wars.

The game’s wiki is generated live from the running game, so its catalogue matches what the live build contains. It lists 245 creatures, 1,481 items and 330 abilities.

The official site describes one way to earn: join on a friend’s invitation and you both earn VEIL. You can enter VeilBound as a guest, but guest progress isn’t saved, so keeping a character means creating an account, which you can do with Discord.

VeilBound’s official channels are X (@veilboundgg) and Discord.

Gameplay experience

VeilBound’s combat is tab-target and runs in a browser tab. It adds a dodge roll and telegraphed attacks to the classic World of Warcraft and RuneScape formula, which the game’s own description names as its model.

How a match plays

Fights run in real time. You select a target and use abilities on it in the tab-target style, and those abilities link into chains.

Enemies signal their heavy attacks in advance. Your answer is a dodge roll that makes you invulnerable for half a second, so a well-timed roll avoids a hit that standing still would take.

Modes

  • Questing and dungeons are the PvE side, with the quests and instanced dungeons spread across the zones.

  • PvP duels pit one player against another.

  • Ranked arena is a separate PvP system.

  • Territory wars are a group system that sits alongside guild doctrines in the game’s systems list.

  • Guilds and parties handle group play for dungeons and everything else.

Progression and difficulty

Progression covers more than levelling a character. The systems include professions, companions, guild doctrines, homesteads and a season road. The Field Manual catalogues every class, talent, item, recipe and dungeon, so builds and crafting have their own reference.

Most of the skill in combat comes from timing the half-second dodge against a telegraphed attack and from using ability chains in the right order.

Controls and platforms

VeilBound is a browser game. The client supports keyboard shortcuts, resizable interface panels and mouselook for steering the camera. On the character select screen, you drag to rotate your character and scroll to zoom.

Getting started

You don’t need a store or a download. No purchase is needed to start.

VeilBound’s terms call the service non-custodial: it will never ask for your wallet seed phrase or private keys, and it never messages you first asking for passwords or funds.

The first steps, in order:

  • Open the site and create an account. You can sign up directly or use Discord.

  • When sign-up shows a recovery code, save it. It is the only way back into your account if you lose your password.

  • Choose a Realm. Your characters travel with you to every Realm.

  • Pick or create a character from the 11 classes and enter the world.

If a friend already plays, they can send you an invitation link that earns you both VEIL as you start out.

Graphics, art and sound

It is a free 3D browser MMORPG you play instantly, with no download.

Art style and world

A roundup of indie browser MMORPGs on Duskmere’s blog files VeilBound as 3D and class-based, and lists stein.world beside it as 2D pixel art.

The wiki’s key art, in-game captures and icon library are credited to Veilbound itself.

Performance and stability

VeilBound runs in Chrome, Edge and Brave on Windows, macOS and Linux. If it struggles, the download page advises closing other tabs and setting Settings, Graphics to Low.

Economy and earning reality

Referrals are the one documented way to earn in VeilBound. When you join on a friend’s invitation, you and the friend both earn VEIL while you find your feet. The invite page names no game mode for that reward, and it gives no payout amount and no cap.

VeilBound costs nothing to start, and the invitation page lists the cost as free. You don’t have to buy anything before the referral reward applies, so a new player has no entry cost to earn back.

What VEIL is worth

VEIL is a Solana token. One token is worth a small fraction of a cent, so a referral reward only adds up to real money if it pays out a large number of tokens, and the invite page doesn’t say how many.

Trading in VEIL was light. CoinGecko recorded about $5,188 in 24-hour trading volume, against a maximum supply of 1 billion VEIL. With that little daily turnover, anyone trying to sell earned tokens is dealing with a thin market.

The open question for a referral earner is what the invite reward is worth at the token’s price on the day you sell. Nobody has published a payout figure for the referral bonus. Without a payout figure, there’s no basis for an hourly, daily or per-invite income estimate.

VeilBound’s community is small, as you’d expect for a browser MMORPG that launched in June 2026. As of November 8, 2026, its Discord had 4,667 members and its X account had 8,622 followers.

VeilBound community size: Discord members 4,667, X followers 8,622, as of 2026-11-08

VeilBound community size as of 8 Nov 2026, read from the public channels.

The VeilBound Discord server is shared. It’s listed as “Jungle Labz (SK/VEILBOUND)”, and when it was read on November 8, 2026, 281 members were online, about 5.8% of the total. At any given moment a few hundred people are around to answer a question or join a party, and they share the server with whatever else the Jungle Labz and SK name covers.

Recent posts on the @veilboundgg account on X are story teasers. On August 31, 2026 it posted “Our origin story explained.” On November 8, 2026 it posted “A new power emerges.” and “Emerging from the shadows, protecting thy father.” The account is still posting new lore, but those posts give no patch notes or replies to players.

VeilBound also gets noticed outside its own channels. A roundup of indie MMORPGs on the blog of Duskmere, another browser MMORPG on that list, includes Veilbound among the ones you can play and describes it as 3D, class-based and new in 2026. The same roundup says Duskmere and Mirage publish devblogs and patch notes, and for Veilbound it gives only the June 2026 launch. If you want a public changelog before you commit time to a character, the missing patch notes matter.

Roadmap and current status

VeilBound is the only title the franchise shows. Its dated 2026 updates cover its terms of service and its VEIL token listings.

The token side moved in November 2026. The MEXC page for VEIL, last updated on November 8, 2026, describes Veilbound as a Solana MMORPG set in a dark fantasy world with a player-to-player economy. On November 8, 2026, CoinPaprika tagged VEIL under blockchain gaming, the pump.fun ecosystem and Solana. For a holder, both listings put VEIL on Solana, the chain the game names first.

As of November 8, 2026, VeilBound is #248 on our ranked list of crypto games, and our catalog entry was last updated on November 4, 2026. The trajectory is stable. The game is still live, and its wiki lists ongoing systems such as a season road, ranked arena, territory wars and homesteads.

Risks

VeilBound’s biggest risk is that it rests on one developer and a young token with nothing written down behind it. No whitepaper or docs are published, no audit report exists for VEIL or its contracts, and there’s no public record of a funding round or named backers.

Who builds it

VeilBound is the work of a solo developer who set out to capture classic World of Warcraft and RuneScape in real 3D, built in Three.js and running in any modern browser. The developer is open about working alone, which is honest. Working alone also means no team is listed to keep the servers, the code or the VEIL economy running if that one person steps away.

VeilBound also has a short track record. The Duskmere blog’s roundup of indie MMORPGs lists VeilBound as launched in June 2026, next to browser MMOs it calls established. A June 2026 launch leaves only a few months of live operation to judge how steadily the game gets updated.

Token and economy gaps

VEIL runs on Solana, and there are no docs setting out its supply schedule, treasury, team allocation or reward rules.

CoinGecko records VEIL’s all-time high at $0.001403 as of November 8, 2026. At a sub-cent price, a token’s value can shift sharply in relative terms, and a falling VEIL price also cuts what players’ in-game trades are worth.

VeilBound has no funding on record, so nothing public shows how the project pays for servers and development apart from the game itself and its token. If you put money into VEIL or into items priced in it, you carry the risk of that setup yourself.

VeilBound alternatives

Comparable games on our ranked list: Etherscape. VeilBound sits at #248. Each one’s page has its genre, chain, token and current status side by side with this one.

Verdict: is VeilBound worth your time?

VeilBound is worth your time if you want a free, class-based MMORPG that opens in a browser tab. If the VEIL token is your reason to play, it isn’t. The game costs nothing to start, and you can be in with a guest session or a Discord login. The only earning mechanic it lists is a referral reward, and the token trades well below its high.

Who it suits and who should skip it

It suits players who liked classic World of Warcraft or RuneScape and want that formula without installing anything. VeilBound runs in Chrome, Edge and Brave on Windows, macOS and Linux, and it is built in Three.js by a solo developer.

Skip it if you’re after income. When a friend invites you, you and that friend both earn VEIL as you find your feet. That referral reward is the only pay mechanic the game describes, and the token behind it belongs to the pump.fun ecosystem on Solana.

Skip it too if you need a mature project with a long record. One developer carries the game, and the blog of rival browser game Duskmere dates its launch to June 2026. A downloadable client isn’t offered yet. Windows and Google flag an unsigned installer as harmful, so none will ship until it is signed.

What would move the score

Public patch notes, a signed desktop client and written rules for how VEIL rewards work would raise the score. The latest visible activity is a pair of teaser posts on X on November 8, 2026. If teasers stay the main sign of progress, or the referral reward goes away, the score drops.

Comparable browser MMORPGs

The same Duskmere roundup, published September 4, 2026, lists other browser MMORPGs you can play today. Keep in mind that Duskmere is on that list itself. Choose Mirage Online Classic if you want the most content: the roundup calls it the most complete browser MMORPG, and it is 2D.

Duskmere is for players who prefer 3D skilling and an in-game economy. Hordes.io is the pick for 3D faction PvP, and stein.world is a cosy 2D pixel game built around quests and crafting. VeilBound is the one to choose for class-based 3D play with dungeons, ranked arena and territory wars.

Frequently asked questions

Is VeilBound free to play?

Yes. The terms describe VeilBound as a free-to-play 3D browser video game, and the site says you can accept an invitation and play free.

Can I download VeilBound as a desktop app?

No. The developer says a separate client won’t ship until its installer is signed, so for now you play it at veilbound.gg in your browser.

What can I do if VeilBound runs slowly?

If VeilBound runs slowly in your browser, close your other browser tabs and go to Settings, then Graphics, and set it to Low. The game’s own guidance lists both steps as fixes.

Which blockchain is the VEIL token on?

Solana. CoinPaprika tags VEIL as part of the pump.fun ecosystem on Solana, and the game’s listing names Ethereum as a second chain.
