This week's battle mage secrets is Healed Out. In this ruleset, all healing abilities are removed.
For this battle the rules are:

Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed.
Fog of War: Monsters lose the sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities.
Available Splinters: All
Maximum of 20 mana.
For low mana battles, I usually choose Light with Pelacor Conjurer as tank and Venari Crystalsmith on the back dealing damage and healing. However since the ruleset removes healing I have to think of a different strategy. This battle is further compounded by Fog of War. This means it's not optimal to use monsters with sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities. Monsters like Uraeus, Tenyi Striker and Deeplurker are great to use in low mana battles but not in this case. I have to use monsters that can deal huge damage to the frontline. So in this case I chose Earth.

My team was composed of:

Obsidian for summoner, gives +1 magic damage. Magic was the meta before with Alric and Venari Wavesmith the most used combination. Today, it's Obsidian and Queen Mycelia

Mycelic Morphoid in the tank position. Not much of a tank but more of a filler. Hopefully it can last long until my damage dealers do their job.

Fungus Fiend in second position. A zero mana card which is very useful as a filler in these low mana battles.

Magi of Chaos in third position. This card has no abilities but deals insane 4 magic damage. If the enemy has no anti-magic buff, this card will wreck his frontline.

Regal Peryton in the fourth position. This card will deal 3 magic damage and has very good speed too. With flying ability, shield and decent life, it dodge attacks and can serve as sort of a tank in this battle.

Queen Mycelia in the fifth position. This will deal 2 magic damage but more importantly provide shield to the team. The extra defense is essential for a magic team.
My opponent has higher level summoners and monsters but in this battle, the damage and abilities are more important. This is what makes Splinterlands fun to play. You may have the weaker cards but you can still win if you choose the right ones for particular rulesets.
