iOS 14 Default Brave Browser Flaw

The new iOS version (14) is finally out and most people seem to have installed it. As I have gotten used to the new functions and features of iOS 14 the one I was really pumped for was being able to set my browser to whatever I wanted as I do not use Safari at all. If you have not already done so it is really simple to change the default browser. After installing iOS 14 you need to update your Brave Browser and from there click on Brave in settings.

With this done I looked forward to being able to use it all the time however I have realized there are still a lot of restrictions around it. While most apps seem to recognize it as a default browser one in particular I use frequently still has me chose between the two Google apps and Safari. I use the Gmail app to tie together my emails for work, research articles, and shopping which all go to the different address's to keep things organized. Opening articles or checking out orders doesn't allow me to use the Brave Browser, it is not an option. I am pretty sure that this would be due to the Gmail app needing to have an update to address this change in iOS's function.

There also appears to be issues with syncing which I have heard others talk about. While I do not have a ton of bookmarks I have a few and I have noticed since the update that sometimes I no longer have the same ones on my phone and computer. It is rather odd to me because the Sync change came before the iOS update so now having issues appears to show that iOS 14 changed something. It is also not a constant thing as sometimes all of the bookmarks are there but other times random ones are not. I checked to see maybe if it was ones that were open on my computer but that was not the case so why it is doing this is rather interesting. Since the Brave Team is aware of the syncing issues I would assume they are off working on fixing those flaws. Besides that, the new feature is something I am so happy I have now! I used to have to keep Brave as an app on the bottom bar of my iPhone so I could easily access it however now that it pops up with app usage it is much easier to use!

If you are interested in the Brave Browser and have not downloaded it you can download it here using my referral link!

Also if you have not done the Coinbase Earns for EOS and people's favorite Stellar Lumens I would appreciate you using my referral link for that! It does not matter if you are a new Coinbase user or an existing one! They have several different coins available in the Earn section besides these two however they are the ones with the biggest payouts. The link to earn $10 in EOS is here and the link to earn $10 in Stellar Lumens link is here.
