The second form of a Dark Eternal is determined
by the state of the soul.
Some of the more twisted souls take insect form,
and the Haunted Spider is the favorite.
The projectile venom and massive,
armored thorax make the Haunted Spider a formidable
(and intimidating) enemy in any battle.

Haunted Spider starts to ramp up in usage once she hits Level 4, where she gains Poison, after level 4, her levels are just stat upgrades.

At Level 10, her stats are 3 Range, 4 Speed, 5 Health and Poison

She costs about $3.49 per BCX in her Beta variant...

LEVEL COSTS
Level 4 costs $41.88, this is where she gains **Poison**
Level 9 costs $1064.45, this is where she gains +1 Range
Max Level costs $1762.45... Thats a lot of money for a maxed common!

Haunted Spider pairs decently with most of the Death summoners, out of the Rare summoners, Zintar and Contessa work best, as Zintar will weaken sneak attackers and Contessa weakens Snipers, giving Haunted Spider a bit more survivability. Haunted Spider surviving multiple rounds and inflicting Poison is crucial to her success.

For Legendary summoners, I believe that Mimosa is by far the best option to pair Haunted Spider with, as she negates healing, weakens ranged like Contessa, and then gives Haunted Spider a bit more tankiness in Void. That being said, Cryptomancer is still a fine choice.

For Dragon Summoners, Haunted Spider can benefit from a plethora of summoners, Kitty gives her True Strike and +2 Speed, Bloom gives Haunted Spider flying for Earthquake rounds, Camilla weakens sneak attackers, Drake of Arnak gives Haunted Spider some tankiness. But in my opinion, Selenia Sky gives Haunted Spider a very potent 3 Range attack even at low levels, making it a great choice for a very offensive attacker like Haunted Spider. Depending on the modifiers, I would likely choose either Selenia or Kitty nearly 100% of the time.

Haunted Spider is best placed in the middle of the pack, allowing it to inflict poison and avoid sneak attackers safely due to its low health pool. In low mana and equalizer rounds, Haunted Spider has more options, allowing it to be placed in the back safely, due to low damage or higher hp.

Haunted Spider is most potent in Equalizer and No Heal rounds, where she has the tankiness to back up his potent poison attack, and the enemy lacks heals to deal with Poison.

Haunted Spider also does well in Fog of War, which prevents sneak attacks, and No Melee allowed rulesets as well. Finally, she does well in Little League, where Poison is very potent, and health is very low.

She is not at all recommended to be used in Poison rounds or Earthquake rounds due to his low health, and his Poison ability becoming redundant.

No Melee, 50 Mana

The grand battle of Cube vs Cube, I guessed this would happen, and went for an anti-sustain combo of Grim Reaper and Haunted Spider, a match made in heaven that prevents the enemy from healing and countering Poison.

I also maximized my debuffs by including a Death Elemental, who nerfed their Magic, and Contessa, who nerfed their range, this led to a flawless victory!
