Yellow Cake

HOME MADE YELLOW CAKE

Here’s the procedure in making a tasty yellow cake👇🏼

Ingredients

  • 1cup of flour
  • 1/4cup of white sugar
  • 125g of margarine/butter
  • 3 eggs(only the yolks will be used)
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4cup of milk
  • 1/4teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2teaspoon of nutmeg

Preparation

In a big bowl, mix together the sugar and butter. Beat in the egg yolk one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in the milk and mix until the batter is smooth.

Grease and flour the baking pan or line the pan with paper liners then pour batter into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes (Preheat oven to 350 degrees) or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a flat plate and cool completely.

Preparation&Cooking Time: 50mins

The difference between yellow cake and vanilla cake is  because for a yellow cake,the egg white is removed and only the yolks are added to the mix while for vanilla cake, both the yolk and egg white are added to the mix.
