Introducing the CHAPA BCH Meetup: A Hands-On Guide to Using Bitcoin Cash

By alberdioni8406 | The BCH Observer | 18 Nov 2025

It is November, and here in Mozambique it rains a lot during this time of the year. The CHapa BCH business is ongoing, but since the road conditions are not good—with roads full of potholes and turning muddy when it rains—I rarely go out.

However, the business continues, with one or another local client calling and requesting the service for short distances where the roads are not yet “destroyed,” and we can still make some money on these trips.

Building a Lasting, Innovative Service

My goal with CHAPA, as I stated in the FundMe proposal, is to create a lasting, exemplary, and innovative business that:

  • Inspires people locally

  • Sets a global example of a service where anyone can travel safely

  • Enables payments using Bitcoin Cash (BCH) in a fast and comfortable way

In line with this plan, I decided to create regular local meetups where clients, cryptocurrency enthusiasts, and the general public can learn more about BCH, how to USE it to make payments in CHAPA, and much more about the ecosystem.

The First CHAPA BCH Mozambique Meetup

Therefore, at the end of November and the beginning of December, I intend to organize the first CHAPA BCH Mozambique meetup where we will:

  • Talk about BCH in everyday life

  • Help people install wallets & make their first transaction

  • Hand out simple guides and onboard new users

  • Share ideas and build a support network for BCH adoption

This will be a process in which I hope to count on community support in providing explanatory materials about Bitcoin Cash, tips for the attendants, and other assistance to onboard more people into the large BCH universe.

Growing Interest and Community Engagement

The curiosity of Mozambicans when they see the car driving through the streets of Maputo and Matola is great. Every client who rides it is a potential guest for the CHAPA BCH meetup, as well as merchants who are my friends and are interested in learning how to integrate payments in the currency for their products and services.

We practically have only a month and a half left until the end of 2025, and CHAPA BCH Mozambique is still moving toward success. This first meetup could be a catalyst for many here and open paths for more people to acquire the currency and use it as a means of payment in the project.

Join the Movement

I will do my part and will not stop working to make Bitcoin Cash a well-known name and brand in Mozambique, particularly in Matola and Maputo.

This battle involves the participation of everyone in the BCH universe who wants to see community projects succeed. After all:

  • CHAPA BCH Mozambique is 100% community-funded

  • Your support ensures that real Bitcoin is used correctly as digital money

  • Together, we can help people access everything they need to live

After all, BCH is money.

Support the BCH Adoption Mission (Optional)

If you feel inspired to help, any BCH contributions will go directly to growing Bitcoin Cash in Mozambique. This includes simple but essential things like keeping the CHAPA vehicle running, printing educational materials, helping new users get started, and supporting our monthly community meetups.

Even a small tip can make a real difference in bringing BCH to everyday life here. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us grow the community.

Together, we can make a real difference.
