Hello, I'm Byron from Canada and I'm selling my artwork. It's a soft sell because I don't know how to do the hard sell. Mostly this is just a blog post to talk about why I made the art, what it might mean to me and give you a chance to buy it. :)
This painting is a stretched canvas painting that is about 8"x10". It was created with mixed media including acrylic paint, ink and gel pens.
It was a bit of a mess when things started. Lumps of paint seemed to appear out of no where and things were generally a bit muddy.

It's in my nature to not let anything distract me from completing a painting no matter how many errors or mistakes get made. It is a part of my process and I just paint or draw over the error without a second thought. So lumpy or messy or muddy art, I will work on it until I am happy with the final results. Other people might not like it, but that's not the point. Right?
So what's the deal with this painting?
It is titled "In Your Face" and the origin of the name is tied in with the creation. See, as I was painting this some people on facebook started to run their mouths about how angry they were that the LGBTQ community has appropriated the rainbow and how everywhere she went there's a rainbow shoved in her face. The post went on for some time about how she hates this, that and also the other thing. I read it, blocked her, and then painted the rainbow behind the skull and called it In Your Face

This artwork became more of a thing than originally intended, a bit of a statement after reading angry anti LGBTQ comments about the pride symbolism. I'm probably doing it wrong some how, but I am proud of all my kids no matter what the choose to be or do in life. As long as they are decent to others and believe in themselves, I'm happy. So that's about it for this paintings origin story. I am offering this painting to an art collector, just check my Ko-fi store to find all the artwork I have listed for sale so far.
