We started motivated in our third day on the trek. On this day there was more mist in the air than the days before. Therefore we couldn't see very far once the valley opens up a bit. We enjoyed hiking a warm, but not too warm day.

The Manaslu Cuircuit is relative new. Therefore there are only a few tourists compared to the well known treks and you can enjoy nature with very little human impact. Most locals have a mobile phone but live otherwise a simple life.
Sometimes you even get really close to wildlife. For example to this lizard eating and taking a sunbath.

In this part of the valley you still come across many chain bridges. Some are pretty long, like this one. In the distance, hidden in the mist you can divine a snow covered mountain.

Many tourists like to bring gifts for the locals with them. We had some pencils and paper for the children. However a gift that will always put a big smile on the children's faces are balloons. A very simple thing that makes them very very happy.

From this day on the valley opens up more and isn't as narrow as before. Now you can almost always see white mountains in the distance. It won't be long until we see mountain Manaslu for the first time.

If you wonder what the sanitary facilities look like in the lodges, here you go. This is one of the best on the trek. However the locals are always improving the lodges and are very helpful if you miss something.
