What's funny? Forbes wrote a big ooohhh oh oo oo volumes on exchanges are inflated!!! Of course they are, it's a longstanding tradition of electronic exchanges. MANY avenues of inflation are always in play. Simply false reporting, of course, but we always preferred bots trading with each other in order to generate volume rebates. That way, the exchanges just PAID OTHERS to crank up the volume. PUMP up the volume lolIt was wild, ARCA, NYSE, ICE, PCX (Pacific), ASE (American), Instinet, Chi-x ( Chicago), Chigago Stock Exchange, BYX, plus dark pools, alternative trading systems, ECNs (Electronic Crossing Networks), options networks. All of them fighting for the lifeblood of volume - seriously - the CBOE. NYBOT, the IPE, the Climate exchange, the Winnipeg Commodity exchange. LOL dear readers remember SuperDerivatives trying to steal market data late in a deal - even THEY had an exchange that ICE eventually bought.
