Grounded in 2022

Grounded was released in 2020 as an Early Access/Game Preview game for PC and Xbox. It was based on the simple notion that you and a few friends had shrunk noticeably and were forced to survive in your backyard.

It was a lot of fun, and it has since been updated in numerous ways, making your garden bigger and more dangerous.  There hasn't been much marketing around it because it hasn't been formally released yet, but word of mouth and Game Pass have helped spread the word about how great the game is.

Xbox Wire has now revealed that it has reached the 10 million player mark. This will be celebrated with an animated free theme for Xbox Series S/X, as well as a new content update.

This time, we'll go to Hell (which is really just an overturned grill) to experience the sizzling heat and ash. There are also some new threats to be aware of: "Along with the termites and soldier termites that are found in the woodpile, there are 8 other creatures coming into the backyard. Be on the lookout for the black ox beetles, dust mites, scarabs, green shield bugs, ladybug larvae, ladybirds, and the recently infected (and community suggested) wolf spiders (complete with their own unique Danger Dumpling color scheme for anyone playing in arachnophobia mode)."

Grounded will leave Early Access/Game Preview later this year, and I belive it will grow even faster at that point.
