Algorand officially supports blockchain for art during Covid-19

As I have already explained in my article "Blockchain Italia recreates art to help the municipalities affected by Coronavirus" today we are going to add an important milestone to this process, the official partnership with Algorand.

The digital platform, Algorand, specialized on blockchain, and digital asset, created by Silvio Micali, Turing prize, MIT professor and well-known cryptographer, alongside the digital project in favor of Italian art, 'Italian Wonders'. Born from the collaboration between BlockchainItalia.io, the FLP union and the Italia4Blokchain association, 'Italian Wonders' was designed to combine Italian artistic and historical heritage with blockchain technology, raising funds to help municipalities in difficulty and places of interest. art economically affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The italianwonders.io website hosts a marketplace of virtual collectibles (digital assets, tokens or crypto assets), recreated on the Algorand and Ethereum blockchains and depicting the main Italian works of art.
 Anyone can contribute to the initiative and the transfer of the "Italian Wonders" digital stamps will take place against a small contribution, which will then be donated to the territory.
