Blockchain Italia recreates art to help the Municipalities affected by Covid-19
There are already over ninety tokens representing some of Italy's most iconic works. The initiative aims to help while waiting to be able to return to visit those places that today, unfortunately, are unreachable.
A non-profit digital project, designed to combine Italian artistic and historical heritage with blockchain technology, raising funds to help municipalities in difficulty and places of art economically affected by the coronavirus pandemic: the initiative, called Italian Wonders - Le Bellezze Italiane, is a Milanese company Blockchain Italia, in collaboration with the Italia4Blockchain association and the Federation of Public Workers (FLP).
The platform was created to digitize the Italian cultural and artistic heritage, recreating on the Ethereum public blockchain works of art and architectural jewels, churches, squares, monuments, in a particular digital form that is called a 'token': comparable to stamps digital or digital collectibles, tokens are exchanged on the web taking on value as unique, non-duplicable and limited in number. Anyone who can contribute to the fundraising and the transfer of the 'Italian Wonders' digital stamps will take place against a small contribution, which will be entirely donated to the individual regions affected by the emergency.

We hope to involve more artists and stakeholders in the sector, also by going abroad, to show that we can support and take care, even from a distance, of the symbolic places of our culture "
