Facebook as a social media giant announced the launch of its cryptocurrency Libra, since then many companies announced their support for the cryptocurrency initiative, however, it is already starting to run out of some partners.
Mark Zuckerberg, an extroverted businessman and billionaire with an ambitious vision, has tried to carry out the Libra project despite the obstacles. However, it has a company with a reputation stained in terms of computer security, added to the great noise that the project has made, the regulators set their alarms.
In this stormy weather, some partners begin to defect from the project for which they paid 10 million dollars of investment to be part. In this case, it is already known that at least two of the 28 members of the Libra Association have decided to withdraw from the project, among other things, due to regulatory pressure.
The national and international pressure on the Libra project has been such that it pushed Mark to announce that the currency would not be released at the moment, since both the world banks and the regulatory financial entities coupled with the negative reaction of the governments makes Impossible to launch.
In an interview with the Financial Times, one of the project partners indicated that "Facebook is tired of being the only people who strive," which logically translates into the company's commitment to please everyone to make the respective launch.
Given that it is such an ambitious project, a Libra Association was formed consisting of 28 members including Facebook and payment telecommunications giants such as Visa and Mastercard. Now, with certainty it is known that at least a couple of these partners will no longer carry on due to the tensions that are experienced by the same project.
