In late 2018, Justin Sun was thinking about implementing privacy in BlockchainTron, using zk-Snarks. Justin Sun's idea will soon become a reality with the addition of this feature in the next TRON 4.0 update. In an interview in 2018, Justin Sun explained the importance of adding privacy to the Tron network as follows:

I think privacy is also important to the network. That's why I think we'll be using zk-SNARK on our network in the first quarter of next year. In this way, we can improve the privacy of the entire network. So in the future, if you want private transactions and private addresses, we can assure you that if you use this address, which no one can see you, the transaction can be untraceable.
