Authorities in Switzerland state that over three kilograms (6.6 pounds) of gold worth the equivalent of about 191,000 United States dollars was found aboard a train carriage between St. Gallen and Lucerne. Police say that the gold was actually discovered in October of 2019, but the discovery is only being made public now after initial efforts to track down the owner failed.

The owner of the gold has 5 years to claim their items, though officials in Lucerne did not explain how they will verify claims of anyone who attempts to claim the gold.
