1.Cardano is a decentralized Blockchain project that allows people to create smart contracts, like the Ethereum Blockchain.
The project is inspired by the best features of its predecessors such as Bitcoin, XRP and Ethereum.

Besides, Cardano is the first Blockchain to use proof-of-stake algorithms, while Bitcoin and most other digital currencies use proof-of-work algorithms.

2. Cardano Development Team

As we all know, Cardano's development team is 3 independent organizations closely related to the development of this project including Foundation, IOHK and Emurgo.

Cardano with the project leader is Charles Hoskinson.

The original Ethereum founder along with Vitalik Buterin. Charles Hoskinson is currently the CEO of IOHK, which is Cardano's main development compan, as well as developing the Ethereum Classic project.

Cardano Foundation: an independent standards organization based in Switzerland, supporting the Cardano user community and working with authorities on legal and commercial issues.

IOHK: (Input Output Hong Kong), the leading cryptocurrency research and development company, holds the platform development contract.

Emurgo : global blockchain technology company, supporting commercial projects built on Cardano Blockchain.
