The month started on the chilly side, and there was plenty of snow. At the moment, the temperature is just above 0 Celsius, and it's raining all the time. If only it was like -5 or colder, so that the ground would be all white, not muddy and wet...
I guess I'm one of the few people who are wishing for colder weather, but I never made any claims about my sanity đ
I actually like it when it's very cold. If the temperature stays below -10 for a week or so, the lakes form think enough ice that you can safely walk, skate or ski.
Actually, early December was quite chilly, and some shallow bays of the sea started freezing. This is fairly unusual. Often the coldest weather comes in January-February.
My walk inspired me to make some pictures in starryai using prompts related to a frozen sea and a frozen beach.
Surprisingly, the first day of 2023 was sunny, so I went out to the nearby park. The air was fresh but not too cold. I forgot my hat at home, but I didn't freeze. It was maybe -4 or so. My black clothes made me feel warm in the sun lying low on the horizon.
The snow has mostly melted, and there were patches of muddy areas with dead leaves, thankfully frozen. They had a beautiful frost covering which the sun had slightly molten here and there.
These leaves inspired me to generate some artworks with the prompts "frozen leaves" and "frosty leaves". It was interesting how one of the methods created closeups, and the other made a landscape.
