It's been less than a week when news was running out connecting a "suppose" attack that happened in the zBx DeFi lending protocol, that actually happened despite didn't caused any loss to the customers funds it damaged the bZx lending protocol and 1,193 ETH currently worth $298,000 gone forever accordingly with the post-mortem published early today in the zBx blog.
News are running out again and this time also with nothing good happening at the bZx DeFi lending protocol, seems that the protocol was exploited again. With the new breach on the protocol $645k worth in ETH was lost, the same modus operandi was applied, and the attacker used flash loans, that can be explained how the apparent mechanism works here!
The new attack was announced at the official Telegram channel from the Firm, and also the official tweet took some measures to inform the incident and explain which steps are being taken to ensure the bZx protocol don't get more bad surprises, starting with pausing their lending protocol as tweetedtoday and ensure that the customers funds are still SAFU!
As the news are being spreaded, the observers are taking more closer look to find what really happened this time, and are studying this transaction.
I am a really fan of DeFi ecosystem and one thing the zBx Team must be aware, this is the second time that action has bee spotted and I believe they know (the criminals) where the breach is occuring, and for the security Team involved in the protocol and the Firm must protect using all the necessary means the Funds from customers, and also their business! If the Trust from the zBx protocol start to disseminate the firm will face other major problems!
Time to ensure that zBx is on the market to compete and justify that place in the DeFi ecosystem and to the $15 millions from customers to remain safe is time to cease all operations and conduct a complete audit on the protocol or more attack will happen as seems the criminals are more advanced than the zBx security researchers for now!
