The Unibright CTO Stefan Schmidt posts regular updates in the Unibright telegram to keep the community informed. Here is the latest update!

15th of June 2020 - ETH Atlanta Conference, Baseline, Freequity, UBT Utility

Dear Community,

we have some busy weeks behind us, and the weeks to come are just as busy – buidl, buidl, buidl!

This update is a little longer than usual, let’s go!

There is a big demand for baselining with Unibright, we are prioritizing demand in talks to several entities, from Germany to US, from tech to production, from startup to Fortune 100, from “ideas” to “please baseline my ERP”. Many of these requests include SAP integration, and here we can greatly play out or 20+ ys experience combined with our blockchain integration expertise. Our goal is to not only do “another PoC” (although PoCs are great!) but also build our framework tools around dedicated Baseline templates to support as many future customers as possible. We are working on some of the leads together with our latest partners from provide as well. We are happy to be part of ETH Atlanta conference on Thursday, where we also have a speaker slot (next to Kyle from Provide and John Wolpert).

We are entering the final steps for preparing a public demo of two components of our Freequity Platform. Interestingly, we also see more and more request in terms of integration of security tokenization ecosystems into SAP systems, primarily in the custody and reporting sector. Thus, we currently drive on two tracks within Freequity: the development of our own, white-labelable components; and integration solutions especially targeting the tokenization sector. Another outcome of our Freequity development is “Transthereum”, a blockchain explorer comparable to etherscan, executable on local developer machines to have an easier access and monitoring, e.g to Ganache. We are currently checking in how far we can put this small part of the project open-source, as it would help the entire blockchain ecosystem to make developments faster and more comfortable.

As we (=those who prepare to be there when blockchain is an established technology) are still in a very young environment, it is always needed to keep an open mind and follow developments in the ecosystem. It is too much to list here, but to give you an impression, two of the research tasks our team members are currently looking at are:
* SAP cloud front and blockchain integration into S/4 Hana and SAP Leonardo.
* Checking machine learning algorithms on Ethereum to predict GAS usage for baselined processes

To add additional utility to UBT, we are currently working on design, documentation and calculation how UBT can be used as “the integration GAS”. Being blockchain agnostic AND having a token model that allows to benefit from all the attributes of a programmable token and at the same time mitigating the (initial) usage of a voucher token combined with a (later) renewal option by Fiat, we have the perfect setup for enterprise usage. It is an outstanding position in the space when it comes to an “enterprise friendly” token model. This is crucial, when you are working on enterprise adoption! With Baseline this gets even more obvious and our goal is to build our solutions around UBT in a way that UBT is the only “Universal Blockchain token” an enterprise needs to integrate (and / or baseline) into whatever blockchain.

Have a unibright week!

The UBT token is an ERC20 token, used as a voucher for the Framework, and it is the only way to access the Unibright Framework. For further details on the above, I recommend checking out these links:

Big fan of cryptocurrency.

Unibright - Blockchain Integrations for Enterprise
Unibright - Blockchain Integrations for Enterprise

Unibright have created a Blockchain agnostic framework that can be used to integrate existing enterprise systems, such as SAP & other ERP. The framework allows the visual creation of smart contracts that can then be deployed without any coding skills.
