Renewable Energy “on chain”, new workshop and framework customer for Unibright
Earlier this week Unibright announced the name of the company they have been working with "Wasserkraft Mittelrhein". Below is a video explaining their "Strom Boje". These power buoys generate electricity by converting the power of a river’s current using a more then 8 feet long rotor. Weighing over 7 tons and having a length of around 36 feet, one power buoy can generate electricity to 100 households.
The first step towards adding blockchain technology to their project was to do a workshop to explore the possibilities. The full blog post can be read on Medium and goes into detail on exactly how the project can make use of blockchain technology.
This workshop led to UBT tokens being locked in the framework as payment, and can be seen on the Unibright website under First Touch and Small Workshops for "Renewable Energy on chain". The project aims to have 16 buoys installed by the start of 2021 and UBT token usage amounts will be finalised at a future workshop later this year.

The UBT token is an ERC20 token, used as a voucher for the Framework, and it is the only way to access the Unibright Framework. For further details on the above, I recommend checking out these links:
