It's been about six weeks now since I noticed a tiny little plant, different from the rest of the weeds growing in my garden.. At first I wasn't sure exactly what it was, but it felt like it was a random sun flower... Back then I thought, poor you, you picked a rough time to start germinating..

You see, here in Greece Autumns can be really mild, often summer like so I guess the seed thought it was mid Spring or something.. Since then, the weather has been colder and colder. Still, I witnessed it..Day after day struggling to grow... Grasping to what little it could get from the continuously diminishing sunlight.. And a few days ago I was amazed to see a flower forming..

And today, against all odds.... Our hero rose.. And said "FUCK YOU WINTER, KISS MY ASS"

A bloomed sunflower signals the start of summer, but in this case it signalled the beginning of the winter:

I guess soon the sun flower will wither and die as the temperatures get colder and colder... All alone, with no other sunflower friends next to it... Never experiencing the touch of a bumblebee..or a ladybug... Never impregnating mother land with its fertile seeds..

It will die..all alone..In a freezing cloudy night...

Well, not all alone! There will be a good friend to hold its dying leaves...

Who knows... Maybe they'll get lucky enough and die together and leave me the fucking alone. Fuckers.
