Many goals fall by the wayside in a year, even though we always try to take advantage of the beginning of the year and the new energy, we end up not being able to accomplish some things. I, for example, would really like to join a gym, improve my diet and my sleep, but I end up not being able to because of the lack of time. One thing I had decided to try was to study more, to try to understand new programming languages, such as those focused on website creation, but I haven't been able to do that either.
With the end of the year approaching, with about 15 days left, I see that it's no longer possible, but I don't let that get me down or make me sad, because I know I've managed to accomplish many other things, such as reaching 20k HP here on Hive, which was a goal I set for the year, and another thing that came out of nowhere, but that made me happy, was starting to record videos to post on Hive. That also made me quite happy because it's another way to create content and share it with all of you.
Reaching these goals is still complicated for me because I've never been very into healthy things, for example. So even though I'm a little overweight, I've never really been interested in it because my life revolves around working and accessing a computer; that's where I feel good and happy. And the times I've tried to exercise with some discipline, it never really made me happy, or worse, it never really interested me, so for that reason I always stop halfway. I know I need to exercise more, but the path to that is complicated.
Nowadays, it's difficult for me to be interested in other things; most of the time I'm working, either at my regular job or trying to create content for Hive. Recently, I've been trying to create more content for X and even YouTube, so I end up not being interested in anything else. If we're talking about goals that didn't work out, I can say that monetizing my X is also one that has failed so far. Despite trying for a few months, things outside of Hive are really complicated to achieve in terms of monetization.
So some things, no matter how much I want and desire to do them, unfortunately end up not getting off the ground. It's even funny because some have been there for years in my ideas, but always in a drawer, always hidden, and I say I'm going to do it and I do it and end up never doing anything. Maybe life is like that, some things simply weren't meant to be solved in our minds and that's how it stays.
No matter how much we plan, these things aren't put into action and, therefore, we spend years and years trying to do them and always procrastinating. Not that we won't be able to do them someday, but the difficulty, procrastination, and lack of focus for these certain things is enormous, and that's what hinders everything in the end. It takes strength to break this cycle of unfulfilled desires.
