According to the Hurun Global Rich List 2020 that was issued on previous Wednesday, the CEO of the leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has become the wealthiest cryptocurrency billionaire. According to the report of the Hurun Global Rich List, CEO Changpeng Zhao has now a net worth of $2.6 billion.
With a $2.6 billion fortune, the Chief Executive Officer Changpeng Zhao has left behind the co-founder of Bitmain Micree Ketuan Zhan in terms of the world’s richest cryptocurrency billionaires.
Previously, Bitmain Co-founder Micree Ketuan Zhan was the richest person in cryptocurrency. He was the leading crypto billionaire in 2018 and 2019. But now, Bitmain co-founder has faced a loss of $1 billion in his wealth. Zhan had a net worth of $2.7 billion in 2019 but now with this loss, his net worth is $1.6 billion. In the list of the richest crypto billionaires, Zhan is now holding the second rank while Changpeng Zhao is sitting on the top position.
In his response to the Hurun Global Rich List, Binance CEO asserted:
“Valuation is a fascinating concept, like credit. Just checked my wallet, don’t have the $2.6b, missing a few 0s, lol. But even 1% is cool for me. Money is not a driver after a point, but it tends to go to people who build.”
Changpeng Zhao stated in a post on Chinese social media Weibo that in the future, he wants to see his crypto assets growing well in value along with his crypto exchange Binance.
The Hurun Global Rich List 2020 consists of six richest cryptocurrency billionaires of the world. Along with Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao and Bitmain co-founder Zhan, the other well-known crypto billionaires are Xu Mingxing of OKCoin, Chris Larsen of Ripple, Li Lin of Huobi, and Brian Armstrong of Coinbase. Xu Mingxing has a net worth of $1.4 billion while Chris Larsen, Li Lin, and Brian Armstrong have a net worth of $1.3 billion, $1.1 billion, and $1 billion respectively.
