In lesson one, we went over creating engaging titles as the first step in getting the best tip rate. Here's the thing, though: your high quality titles will only get readers onto the page. The tip button, however, is all the way at the bottom. Now, sure, some users don't read the articles. They just scroll to the bottom, tip and leave to get their payment. I think that represents the minority of Publish0x readers. If you want people to make it to the part where they tip you, then you'll have to give them a reason to get there: high quality content that actually answers the question presented by your engaging title!
There is more to creating quality content than just addressing the topic you've chosen to write about. Anyone can just talk about stuff. You don't want to seem like just anyone to the people reading your post. You want to be the one most deserving of their attention at that time, which means you have to deliver not only accuracy, but also entertainment. Think about it: when was the last time you sat down to enjoy a good case study on the accuracy of gas chromotography/mass spectrometry readings with regard to the presence of methamphetamine in human hair samples? Probably never. I have had to read them and they are very dry and boring. Don't be dry and boring.
The key to quality content that continues to hold a reader's attention to the very end is a proper balance of entertainment and information. If your post is all laughs, it likely won't be taken very seriously. If it's nothing but data and statistics, it may not be taken in at all. (<,<) (>,>)That's what she said! Anybody? No? Okay, moving on. That was a bad attempt so you can tell how NOT to do it and definitely NOT my best attempt at humor... Seriously, I swear.
Anyway, we're going to just pretend that last part never happened, like that time at Thanksgiving 20 years ago when Uncle Jeff...never mind. So, this is going to be a short post because there isn't much more to say. Be entertaining, but don't forget that information is still the primary goal. Well, after getting tips, anyway.
