Essential App is Leaving LUNA and the TERRA Blockchain

It appears that not all is as it should be over at the new LUNA fork. DApps deemed essential are on the move.

As what I can only see as an attempt to buy the loyalty from as many DApps as possible the proposal to save LUNA shifted from its initial form into the new form. Where it now gives a large chunk of the new LUNA tokens to DApps that he deemed "essential apps that must exist in any web3 ecosystem to be viable".

This was at a time when several headlines read that other Blockchains were either actively courting DApps or basically saying "hey come to us, we don't crash".

Now it appears that not all DApps were happy with these arrangements...

LOOP here it is

In case you are not familiar with LOOP. It is a DApp that in many ways is similar to Publish0x. They have a community where you can read and publish posts witch ties into crypto. They have however had a focus on TERRA-centric content, seeing they, at least, were part of that Blockchain.

Instead of earning tips directly, like we do here. You instead get a sort of LOOP points, from people rating and commenting on your posts. These then get paid out once every week, the amount that gets paid out depends on your total amount. As well as your own activity on the platform.

They do have a few things that Publish0x does not have. They have their own staking platform as well as a DEX. Not to mention their own pair of tokens, simply called LOOP and LOOPr. And much more.

LOOP wants out

In a post published on LOOP itself, by the people in charge. They go into details on how they were part of the negotiations, but for the TERRa Builders, the DApp community, and the UST and LUNA holders. They also explain how this process made them reevaluate what was their core beliefs if you will.

And upon doing this they came to the realization that they no longer could stay on the TERRA Blockchain. So they announced that they will be moving. Their new home will instead be the Juno Blockchain.

I for one wish them all the best on their move to a new home. And I will be along for the ride.
