At the end of the last post, we had finally confirmed that my wife was not allergic to our puppy (phew we were really worried), and we were approaching the holidays! We were lucky that we got a little snow and Felix got to play in it for the first time!
Unfortunately due to Covid it was just us three for the holidays. But three is better than two, and we had a great time hanging out with hour little puppy all day long since we both had work off.
We also got matching pajamas for us and the pup (yes we are those type of people). Felix got a matching bandanna.
Felix also discovered a new love, eating shoes, pictured below. This would later become the bane of our existence and now we have to hide shoes immediately otherwise he will quickly grab them and run off with them.
We did not end up doing much during this time, but it was time well spent. Felix really had started to develop a personality at this point. Playful, stubborn, but really smart. He learned "sit" in about 5 minutes! He also was totally potty trained by this point. We were excited, but having a smart dog also has its downsides.
He had started to get bored, and when Felix gets bored he gets into trouble. He was searching every nook and cranny of our home, figured out how to open cabinets, and most importantly knew where the shoes were kept....
We realized we had to start training him, so we signed him up for a puppy kindergarten class. Ill talk about that on my next post! Until then, here is one last picture of Felix looking mighty cute with a huge stick.
