Having concluded our experiment on reader behaviour in Publish0x, we can now respond to Cryptosorted's post on 'How to Become a Succesful Publish0x Author'.

Actually, with the current tipping process, the recipe is pretty simple - but admittedly not for everyone: Bring in your own herd.

Here is what doesn't matter on Publish0x:

• It doesn't matter whether you write quality content or not. 90% of the readers won't read it anyway.
• It doesn't matter whether you use the right tags. Most recent posts get the most views, and the number of views degrades to almost zero after 8 hours, despite the hundreds of new readers joining the platform each day
• It doesn't matter if you write on a subject that has been exhaustively covered by other authors. We have seen numerous posts about how to become a successful Publish0x author, about how great Brave browser is, about what Bitcoin or Ethereum is, with essentially identical content - plagiarism anyone? - that receive quite some earnings

If you expect random readers to praise your original quality content, and tip you accordingly, you are toast. Yesterday we saw a 4-line post, that took its author maybe 2 minutes to write, receiving quite a few tips. Although the author of this piece didn't bring his own herd, 25 or 30 cents for a 2-minute task, equals to $7.50 to $9.00 hourly rate - not bad at all!

What we have noted is that authors earning consistently $3 or more per post, are the ones who are already running their own blogs, with a large followership - most of them with around 500 followers, but we have seen authors with close to 2000 followers - who are getting their blog followers to sign up in the platform and have their posts being the first their followers tip (the first tip is the largest one, in case you haven't noticed).

So, there you have it! To be a successful author on Publish0x, you only need your own herd.
