Hell, I was looking at the HIVE price chart, trying, like many other days, to find meaning and a positive perspective on the price development at HIVE, when suddenly it occurred to me to take a look at what STEEM was doing...just trying to comfort myself (LOL).
But, as expected, STEEM and HIVE are following the same path, albeit with a price variation in favour of STEEM.
In fact, the chart patterns are practically the same, making them very difficult to differentiate were it not for the vertical axis of prices.
Then I took a look at another "old acquaintance", another Larimer's son who has also lived better pasts, BITSHARES. To my amazement, we have the same profile and price pattern as HIVE and STEEM, nothing original, the same trends governed by King BITCOIN...
I would even say that all three maintain similar levels of Selling pressure...
Next, and to continue with the observations regarding the Sons of @dan Larimer, we have EOS.
Possibly his most hopeful project and the one that has caused the most frustration among his followers IMO.
Again, same pattern, downtrend except when GOOGLE CLOUD made an announcement regarding becoming one of EOS's Block Producers... at which point EOS had a fantastic 20% spike up.
Not that it was any exceptional news, actually, the fact that GOOGLE CLOUD uses part of its computing infrastructure to try to make a profit while securing the blockchain is not a revolution per say... but the mere fact of giving to EOS some visibility really influenced the price... which then fell due to lack of continuity.
This little EOS example shows how important it is to maintain a high level of visibility through announcements and advertisements in order to keep a healthy balance in pricing and prevent the project from economical destruction.
All of Larimer's projects, and here I include HIVE, lack visibility... as a consequence, all of them collapse...for the moment, I just hope that HIVE ends up articulating a good strategy regarding its promotion and advertisement and so, it takes us to be the exception among Larimer's Blockchain DPoS.
