I'm growing Pumpkins and Garlic on the HIVE blockchain because the world no longer makes any sense AND THATS OK!

When I was a kid I thought I was going to be all kinds of interesting things when I 'grew up'. Fire fighter, maybe? I was very into professional wrestling and thought that might be a good fit. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would be growing virtual vegetables in something like a video game for real life money. I guess time truly makes fools of us all.

dCrops describes itself as "a cryptocollectible game where you are put in the shoes of a farmer"
and it's the single most simple Play2Earn cryptogaming experience I've found in over five years in this scenes.

There is a single pack of assets: dCrops Alpha Packs. The last 12000 of them sold out yesterday for $2 each (with price breaks when buying 100/500). The packs contain two types of assets: LAND and SEEDS. Their are 4 rarities of each. Each LAND has a number of PLOTS on it depending on it's quality and each SEED can be planted on LAND of the same quality. Seeds can only be planted in the right season and the game used a 4 season system that will be familiar to you if you live on planet earth.

Your farm will end up looking something like this:

And, well, that's it! Seasons last 2 weeks and, once you are planted, there is nothing to do until harvest time! With harvest comes new tokens and a share of the overall harvest pool. I think many of us have seen the power of being involved with projects like this early before they boom and see their assets prices multiply as happened in the case of SplinterlandsSynergy of Serra, and Rising Star.

At this point there have to be a lot of readers who want to scream a single word...

I think that's a very fair reaction to a world with digital pumpkins and a rapidly evolving collectibles, gaming, fine art, and investment scene. I want to meet you half way here disbeliever, more than half way even, this is kinda nuts if you look at it on it's face. What I want to explain is that this isn't about pumpkins or farming or even NFTs, this is about DEFI.

Decentralized financing is the future and, in the coming years we are going to see it continue to rapidly change the world of finance and the futures of many of those involved with it's more established platforms. Projects like dCrops are gamification of the core tenants of much more complicated financial actions like earning profit by providing to liquidity pools. The more folks get used to these ideas in games like dCrops the more these ideas and projects will proliferate and continue to demonstrate a viable alternative to institutional investing platforms and technology.

We at The Crypto-Gaming Guild believe in projects like this whole heartedly and had been waiting for new viable projects on the HIVE blockchain. Many of us made purchases of packs and game assets through the game portal of NFTMart and look forward to our farms growing in the bright future we know dCrops has coming. Welcome to the Party dCrops ! Let's get our hands dirty!
