Last night, I uploaded a 2 minute video to Theta TV. I found myself struggling to navigate the site to get this video up and published. I joined Theta TV a few months ago and so far, for the most part, I've just been watching videos and streams while earning some TFuel. It takes a while to accumulate TFuel. Even now, I only have 2 but I see its value and potential.
Anyways, I figured out how to upload a video to Theta TV but then, I had a difficult time finding the video so I could publish to my channel. At first, I thought uploading a video would place it directly in my channel for viewing but that is not the case. I had to find the video and manually set to 'publish'. It took a few minures but once I managed to do that, my new video became visible on my channel.
For those who are new to Theta TV and want to upload videos to your channel, here's a quick rundown of how to upload, find and publish your video to your channel. You could eventually monetize your channel and earn some crypto, just as we do here on PublishOx. Of course, you can also start your own live stream on Theta TV and expand your horizons.
Let's get started!
Click the '+' symbol located at the top right of your screen, beside the tool chest. Click this button and choose 'upload video' and the upload page will appear. Just follow the simple directions and choose the video you want to upload to Theta TV.
After this step, the video will begin uploading and processing and is moved to the 'Queue' section.
Once processing is complete, the video will then move to 'Unlisted Videos'.
The next step is to publish your video to your channel. Click 'Unlisted' to bring up the 'Publish' pop up window.
After you click 'Publish', your video will then move to the 'Published Videos' tray.
All videos in the 'Published Videos' tray are visible on your channel for your viewers to watch. My videos are shown at the right of my page but I believe you can move things around on your channel through 'Channel Settings' at any time.
What if you log off during the processing of your video? How do you find your video? This is how I got really stuck. I logged off while the video was processing and returned later. It took a few minutes to navigate back to the 'video settings' page but now I see just how simple it is.
At the top right, click your picture icon(or logo) and a drop down menu will appear. Click 'Manage Channel'.
Then, at top left on the next page, click 'LiveStream' and choose 'Videos' from the drop down menu and it will bring you back to the Videos Settings page where you can publish, unpublish or delete your videos. You can also upload videos from this page as well.
Can you see how confusing it can be? Once you've tried a couple of times, it becomes easy though. I hope this helps you with navigating around Theta TV and your channel with regards to uploading and managing your videos.
I hope to eventually monetize my channel. I used to have more than 100 videos on my Youtube channel and over 360 subscribers when one day, Youtube decided to demonetize my channel. This was about 3 months before the term went mainstream so I was one of the very first that Youtube targeted for demonetization. Many of my videos centered on the obvious manipulation of precious metals prices. I guess they didn't like that. I've since pulled down almost all my videos from Youtube in protest.
As a result, I've begun publishing videos on Theta.tv(and BitChute). I'm trying to aquire new subscribers and increase my viewership on my channel for eventual monetization. To do that, I need at least 300 subscribers and 200 hours of views. I managed to do this previously on Youtube only to see Youtube give me the royal shaft.
