Last Wednesday I finally arrived in Washington, D.C. after leaving Monday and driving with my roommate and his dad from Texas. Since I have arrived I have continued to slowly but surely set up and get somewhat settled in my new apartment. The first couple of days were rough as I only had an air mattress but yesterday I finally had my bed arrive!

The since we got here my roommate and I have been balancing setting up ourselves and hanging out and socializing with his boss/my congressman Troy Nelhs. Most of the day we are out and about with Troy getting to see things and places otherwise closed off. 

Today before his swearing in he took us to his office and took us around the Capital building. It was really neat to see the tunnel system and how it works! Once you enter one of the office buildings you have access to the Capital building itself without having to go outside. I am extremely jealous of my roommate since he starts tomorrow and I will continue to apply to find a position with a Congressional office. 

I will continue to work my leads and hopefully nail down something promising soon. I remain hopeful that this will be something I can quickly nail down to really continue my adult life! Plus the ability to further invest with crypto and build out my future is an amazing idea! At least I can continue to set up my apartment and get the furniture I need to thrive!
