STRESS SUCKS

God I hate stress. And not anxiety stress because f that too...

But stress that grinds you to a halt. Causes you to have trouble thinking, concentrating, doing whatever you have to do. THe kind thats debilitating. Yeah fuck that shit. Hopefully there's no profanity ban on this but truly screw that kind of stress. I see it grind my friends and enemies to a standstill. Stress shouldn't do that.

Stress should motivate. 

It should drive you to the brink without driving you mad.

It should cause you to focus. Drive harder, faster. Want it more. 

So how do we change that?

Good question internet friend.

I think (in my humbly unprofessional opinion) that if you can distract yourself enough but still maintain focus on what it is your doing you can find the sweet spot, the balance point again between motivating and debilitating stress.

For example, exercise has always helped me...now granted COVID has turned me into a sloth, but hear me out. A few push ups in between paperwork, in between paragraphs or cell phone calls can make a world of difference. I'm too lazy right now to cite anything but I think there are quite a few studies on exercise and focus. 

Master your now by adding something you can control. 

Stress is the uncontrollable. Bring it back it into your own realm. Your domain. 

I know its one more thing to worry about. Exercise. Many of us are bad about it. But shift your focus for a few minutes, seconds even and get the blood flowing again if your sitting down. Go outside and walk. Breathe fresh air. I know I'm bad about it so right after this I'm might go for a walk because lately stress has been killing me.

You can add to the stress with healthy stress. 

Thats the beauty of procrastination. You do it right and there's a winning combo there somewhere. You just gotta find it.
