First, A Quick Look at Prospectors over the Past Year
The economy in the Prospectors land has slowed to a crawl. Wages are down to 3 Gold Per Minute. Luckily, the price of PGL has gone up 900% in the last couple of months and I expect another doubling or tripling before the Grand Land is released in October.
Gold resources are winding down in the Wild West and Yukon as you can see from the following maps courtesy of Ivan Kazmenko and his wonderful site at https://prospectors.online/

The developers have been hard at work creating a whole new land. The announcement of the new land has brought new found confidence in the future of the game. Over the last 6 months the economy has stagnated to the point you would think there is a pandemic in the game world. The devs even had a mask mandate for a while. The price of PGL tanked to under a penny per coin. It seemed as if it would keep falling. Veteran players were begging for a new facet to the game.
We were given a new coin PSS ... Prospectors State Shares. These coins are earned by donating time and resources to public building projects. We built a bank and a couple railroads to connect the lands. People who put the time and resources in now earn daily rewards in PGL from those shares.
The developers gave us 2 temporary lands, Tombstone and Eagle City. 2 month servers that were chaotic and many people earned quite a bit. I lost quite a bit in Tombstone, the first one, but learned a bunch. I did not have much time for Eagle City, so I went full nomad and earned a few hundred dollars without investing in anything except tools and diplomas. My investment was recouped in a week and the rest was gravy.
Players got some of what they were asking for when the developers dropped a couple small carrots to dangle in front of us.
Some folks were able to bring Donkeys and Horses back from the temporary lands. Could there be a new stables industry?
Coffee suddenly appeared again on random lots and was available for everyone to harvest again. Just great, I had gotten into the coffee market deep and it seemed as if I would lose a ton with the release of more coffee. I got lucky though and will soon be to the break even point on coffee with tons of coffee still left.
We also got a new resource ... MOSS. But that carrot is still being dangled without letting us know what it is for. Could it be matting for higher level goldmines? Could we get a whole new industry built around moss? The silver industry used moss in the process. Bedding for animals? Medicine. Feel free to leave your guess as to the use of Moss on my "What the Heck is Moss For" article.
None of this improved the value of PGL. That was a problem. The Devs needed a better idea. The economy needed something more.
Then NFT's exploded. The Devs started 2 new projects and got on the NFT bandwagon. RPanet and Tribal Books. More players for cross promotion. Many of those players are migrating over to Prospectors ... which is a much deeper game. But the economy in Prospectors... oh, how the economy needs some life.
Big News of the New Grand Land
Now we get the biggest news. A Grand New Land. We have had many teasers but little news. We know there will be more gold. Over 6 times more gold than the Wild West. Other resources will scale as well. With richer plots we will have slower mine rates and more mine levels. The map will be almost 4 times larger than Yukon or Wild West. And the biggest news of all ...
The land will be released as NFTs. There will no longer be a monthly plot rental. The new land will be 4 times as large. The deposits will be 2-4 times larger.
This Just In
We just got an announcement on Telegram from Pavlo that there will be no tools or shops on auction for the Grand Land. This means that the world will progress much slower as all initial actions will be without tools. It also means that the tools will only be 10% until a toolshop gets completed. (unless they change another parameter)
The Sale

There will be a total of 9998 NFT plots for sale on a 100 x 100 map. There will also be a ring around the edge of 404 forever free plots. Yukon and Wild West have 2916 plots each. So the new land is more than 3.5 times as large.
We will have an auction and 2 NFT pack sales.
The first sale will be in mid June for a total of 2900 packs. For this sale you will need to have WAXP in your wallet. It is not clear where the sale will occur but many are guessing it will be on Atomichub.
The second sale for 6900 packs will be held in mid July. You will need PGL for this one. AtomicHub is our best guess for this one as well.
Then there will be an auction for 119 plots around the center in September. You will need WAX again for this one. Past auctions have been on Simple Market, but it is not clear where this will be either.
There will be another 79 plots reserved for a promotion.
The Resources

There will be more of all the other resources as well. Here are the details
Gold -->> 10.8 Million PGL released into Wild West and 70 Million released into Grand Land -->> This is a resource increase of 6.48 times versus a Land expansion of 3.5 times ... This is the good news
There will be 1000 gold lots total. 200 will have 100 Thousand PGL. 400 will have 75 Thousand PGL. 400 will have 50 Thousand PGL. The PGL price as of this writing is $.068 USD. At that price, this is a release of $4.76 Million USD.
You have a 10% chance to get any gold lot. 2% chance for a Premium Gold Lot with 100K PGL. 4% chance each at the 50K and 75K Goldlots.
Ore, Clay -->> 15 Million released into Wild West and 45 Million released into the Grand Land -->> so... proportionately, slightly lower amount than Wild West. 3.5 times expansion vs 3.33 times resource increase.
Coal -->> 10 Million In Wild West and 45 Million in the Grand Land -->> 4.5 times resource increase vs 3.5 times expansion
Wood -->> 12 Million in Wild West and 45 Million in Grand Land -->> 3.75 times resource increase
Stone -->> 7 Million in Wild West and 30 Million in Grand Land -->> 4.285 times resource increase
It seems to me that the Developers have said that resource deposits will be larger. We know how gold will be distributed but the rest is a mystery. It seems prudent that every land pack have some value ... that there will be some sort of resource on it. Will there still be multiple resources of varying amounts? Will each plot have a massive single deposit? Big questions that will decide how you ultimately move forward with your NFT purchases.
How much will those NFT's cost? That is still a mystery.
Looking at other sales we see that in early April 2021, RPlanet packs were sold to dedicated community members at 50% off for $50 for a single plot pack and $150 for a 3 plot pack. These community members were whitelisted for the sale. In late 2020, Alienworlds did a Dutch Auction with the bid starting at 12k WAX @ $.03 each = about $375 each. Then the bid is reduced incrementally until someone bids. First bidder wins. A couple were sold at 12k wax ... rumor is they were mint hunting (trying to get a #1 asset). The lowest packs were sold out at 1010 wax or about $30.
There are many guesses as to what everything will be priced at. Most believe they will be a set price. Could very well be a tiered pricing system where the price goes up or down every hour or so until that batch is sold out. I believe we will see a minimum price of $50 USD per plot. Others have said up to $200. At an average of $100 the game will see an influx of about $1 million USD.
