Fusion (FSN) is a blockchain platform that is building the infrastructure for the development of financial applications. Founded by Dejun Qian in 2017, the platform primarily targets businesses that deal with financial transactions. Services and products offered include the possibility to create an exchange, bonds, options and futures, and managing licenses and royalties.
The Fusion team highlights three features as its platform’s strengths: its diverse business ecosystem, “time value extraction” and developer friendliness.
The platform offers interoperability solutions, which means that different blockchains can communicate with each other. This is especially important for a platform that has multiple DApps that would benefit from communicating with each other. The team describes time value extraction as “enabling [the extraction of] time-value out of your digital assets and easily model time-based transaction on the blockchain.”
The project has also partnered with several entities, such as Stasis, BankEx AXP and Cerealia. Establishing partnerships is a key part of the team’s attention, as the expansion of a financial services’ ecosystem is directly dependent on the number of contributing players in it.
The team achieved some important milestones in 2019. In June, the team introduced a token based licensing program - which is also available to other blockchain projects, enterprise applications and off-chain systems. In the following month, the team successfully launched the platform on the mainnet. Other 2019 efforts have focused on partnerships and awareness campaigns.
