This week the theme is an old class card Feral Spirit. I don't own this card sorry to say. My account is only a few days old but I felt like a good way to show a battle in the theme was to use a common sneak monster from the new set. With another sneak monster that would make it so this battle was really about sneak winning the game. Welcome URAEUS and Undead Badger to the stage can they out sneak SILENT SHA-VI? Round 1
This was a basic rule set match with a 16 mana cap. I was fighting my way into bronze two and learned that sneak teams show up often here. I also felt that was the right move but I wanted to counter it. CARRION SHADE was put in the last post to take a hit from a sneak monster if it was 1 attack he would have taken 2 attacks but still was ready to take one for the team. URAEUS went next because he has armor, this set him up to take possibly 3 attacks to kill. With my Undead Badger was in the second tank spot just to hide his 1 life. This setup also gave no targets for any snipers other than my CURSED WINDEKU who at level 2 had one extra life that could come in big. On the other side, SILENT SHA-VI had 2 attack and 5 hp looked like trouble. But I felt the user made a mistake not putting his CHAOS AGENT in a spot to take a sneak attack for him let's see how the battle went.
Round 2
As we headed into round 2 so far my idea is working yes my first monster is gone but with the hp debuff of my summoner, the SILENT SHA-VI is down to two health and with my armor left on URAEUS I am set up to kill it if I don't miss with both my sneak guys left. Also, that one extra HP is a big advantage up front as my CURSED WINDEKU is set to just barely survive allowing both my sneak monsters to attack.
With no missed attacks. I take over the fight. That armor did its job blocking that attack and we are left with just that lonely CHAOS AGENT. While this might have looked like an easy win it was closer than you think. I hope to be up in bronze 1 soon so the battles can have a bit more action.
With this win, I did start a little streak that got me into bronze 2. I was then able to earn some DEC for the first time. Thank you for checking out my battle. Let me know what you thought of how I did? This account is working on growing to the gold league and it will take some time I know
