Cradle me in loving light,
Bring me wisdom, truth and sight,
Cover me with what is right,
Bring me to my home.

Angel of Light

Splinter - Khymeria

Set - Alpha/Beta

Class - Legendary Healer

Size - Although when she appears she is always the size of a normal Human, the Angel has very little physical mass. When she joins in the battles at Mount Mox, in order to heal and resurrect fallen comrades, the Angel must manifest more completely in physical reality, putting her at risk from physical attacks. When he wings are fully spread, they span nearly five times the Angel’s height.

Lifespan - The Angel of Light is not a mortal. Rather, she visits us from the Angel Realm, where there is an entirely different understanding of life and death. She has been around thousands and thousands of years. The Angel of Light may even have been around to watch as the Ancient Ones landed and began creating life on the Planet so long ago. Still, because of the way the Angel continually puts herself in harm’s way to protect the people of the Splinterlands, she may meet her match one day.

Weapon - The only weapon carried by the Angel of Light is her legendary Golden Hairpin. No one has seen it happen in recent years, but they say that the Angel can remove her hairpin and transform it instantly into a great spear of white fire. This white fire is the hottest that burns in any of the realms. Many years ago the Angel of Light gave up aggression and attack in favor of peace and healing, but she still may have to take up arms again.

Habitat - The home of the Angels is a place in the sky, called simply the Angel Realm, but the Angel of Light spends little time there. There are even rumors that because of the shame that came with lowering herself to the Splinterlands level, she has been banished forever from the Angel Realm. She has never confirmed nor denied these suspicions. When the Angel holds any manifestation to the physical reality, she resides in Angel Summit, a rural retreat in north Khymeria that was built a century ago by the Angel’s most devout followers.

Diet - What feeds the Angel of Light? Since she is not a mortal person with base needs, she craves other forms of nourishment. She has always satiated these cravings by helping those who she believes cannot help themselves. In her greatest historical mistakes, such as the Obliteration of Light, her desire to help has created unnecessary disorder and chaos.

Allies - The Angel of Light cares greatly for all people of the Splinterlands, but she has always had a special connection to the Khymians of the Life Splinter. At certain times in history, she was adored by all Khymians. In recent years, the Order of the Silver Shield has spread lies about the Angel, turning their people toward a strange new goddess, Khymia. Still, those in Khymeria who have clung to tradition still adore the Angel of Light and secretly give her due praise. The Khymian leadership of today has outlawed “Angel Worship” and branded anyone breaking the law “Angelists.”

Enemies - Since the Order of the Silver Shield began, it has been the greatest enemy of the Angel of Light. They will not go as far as to declare outright war on the Angel, but they have done everything in their power to turn the people from her light. The Angel believes this is because the rulers of the Order must control their god. She understands that as long as they wish to have power over their people, the views of an independent and caring goddess will never align with their own. So a one-sided war of propaganda has unfolded. The Angel has lost many warriors of light to the lies and treachery of the Silver Shield, but with her Angel eyes, she can sometimes catch glimpses of the future. She has an idea of what is coming. The Angels will ride again.
