NVMe SSD Part 2 - Macro circuit photography

By Solominer | Solominer | 26 Nov 2019

I move the chip over to my overhead lamps to get some more light for better macro photos. I focus on clusters of resistors, their formation reminds me of cities. Like sky scrapers in an aerial view.

The traces underneath the board can be seen better with my lamps. A very classic circuit look to them.

Some gold on this chip reflects real good with my lamps, the screw mount part is made of gold. I think it has to do with the grounding of the drive.

The exposed gold traces make me think its for programming or reading functions while testing.

Still wondering what those black resistors are for, most are a tan color but some are black. Maybe thats the cause of the issue with them not functioning. Im not skilled enough to remove them and attach new ones though.

Looks like the chip makers name is Nanya, with some other information on the chip as well. Probably specs and its model number.
