1 oz Platinum Eagle - $100 face value coin

This coin reminds me alot of my Silver, though I can tell its alot more dense. Its smaller than the Silver Eagles but weighs more. It has a nice shine to it as well, and was surprised it was polished so well when I got it.

A 1oz Platinum Eagle has the highest face value of any coin, at $100. The 1oz Buffalo Head Gold coin has a face value of $50. Makes you think the mint may be thinking ahead, assuming Platinum will be worth more than gold per ounce once again in the future. That is one of the reasons I bought this coin, I think its an underdog that may make a strong comeback. It has many industrial and medical uses, and it used to be used as a conductor in electronics.

Not stacking only Platinum, but wanted it to be a part of my stack. Even if its just one coin, I think Platinum may have its day once again in the future. And I got this coin for under $1000 from SD Bullion so im happy with that purchase. I waited a few months watching the price and got my price I wanted and made the purchase. Its interesting to see when the stock market drops the value of these coins rise. Its a nice hedge to have if there is a bad crash in the stock market. I think hodling crypto also a great hedge. But these are my "offline" coins. As if the internet went down, my crypto is nearly worthless. And its something important to consider as the internet is a new thing, but these precious metals are not and have been around for a very long time.

Those platinum bars look real cool, I want to hold one to feel its weight. Though its out of my price range at the moment, being tens of thousands of dollars for a full sized bar.

Hope yall enjoyed my Steem background, I made it using a Steem logo laser cutout and used a permanent marker to stencil it onto the paper.
