A warm welcome to another Let’s Simplify Things! post!
In this series of posts about NFTs I’m attempting to provide you all the information you need to enter the wonderful world of NFTs.
If you have missed the previous chapters you can find the links at the end of the post, I strongly suggest you go and read them!
Now that you have learned how to acquire, trade and store your NFTs and you have in your possession your first cards you need an easy way to track and showcase them.
And by far the best way is by using TokenHead!
So far TokenHead is available as an app for your iOS or Android device, but I’m sure the TokenHead team will in the near future provide us with a desktop version.
You can easily install the app by using the relevant iOS or Android stores or by visiting the TokenHead website.
As always, for your convenience, all the necessary links are available at the end of the post!
Using the app is pretty easy and straightforward so let us have a look at the various features of TokenHead!
Starting with the option to have multiple accounts under one roof.
You can easily add all your accounts and have an instant look on the value each one holds on your home screen.
And yes the ability to have an indication of the value of your NFTs is one of the best features of TokenHead!
In the same screen you can find the total value of your NFTs as well as the value each account holds and the current WAX to USD rate!
And yes before everyone goes crazy on the accuracy of the prices indicated in the app you have to understand how the prices are calculated and the challenges one has to face when trying to achieve that.
What TokenHead does is in my opinion the honest way to do it.
They go and get the transactions that have been made on an asset and calculate the price median and use this as the price indicator.
Now of course the main challenge is to have enough transactions to get a realistic price.
With time this issue is corrected, as an asset gets more transactions the more accurate the indicated price becomes.
Keeping that in mind you have to understand that on new assets or vary rare ones the price is, for obvious reasons, extremely hard to be accurate.
But that is the same case with any rare collectible as, for example, is with the value of a rare painting.
You can have “experts” valuing that rare painting but at the end the price it achieves in an auction is its real value at that time.
Now moving into the page of your account, you find the synopsis of what the account holds.
All the information is nicely categorised by the token or the collection. Displaying the value of the assets per category both is USD and WAX is such a nice and helpful touch.
By clicking on any of your collections you can see the NFTs of that collection that you hold in the relevant account.
Under each NFT you will find its estimated value again both in USD and WAX.
By clicking on any of your NFTs you will enter its detail information page.
There you can see the following info of your NFT:
· See the picture(s) of your NFT and share it by clicking the relevant buttons under the picture of your NFT.
· Read the description.
· Find the mint number, the author and the contract of your NFT.
· And find detailed information on the value of your NFT as well as the past transactions including a very helpful diagram of them!
By clicking on the display options you find a list of tools as you can see from the picture above.
I don’t believe they need any special introduction as they are pretty self explanatory.
The one tool I want to mention though it the ability to show the missing NFTs of a collection.
With this tool a collector can easily find the NFTs that are missing from his collection.
A feature that as you can imagine is a life saver as it saves one a lot of time, especially if the collection is a large one!
It is obvious that the TokenHead team has provided us with a great tool!
A tool that is soon going to get even better!
I have heard that the team is exploring the possibility to add the users top requested features such as a marketplace!
That would be a huge step forward for TokenHead as by enabling the user to buy or sell NFTs directly from the app it will create a one stop shop!
Where users will be able to easily buy, sell, monitor, share and display NFTs all in one place!
So if you haven’t used TokenHead until now, you have no reason not to start now!
Oh and I forgot to tell you a very important point…. TokenHead is FREE!
You don’t need to pay anything to use it!
